After its official opening on September 16th, guests have been enjoying the thrilling brand-new Fast & Furious roller coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood!
Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift
Fans have been flooding Universal Hollywood to check out the new thrilling attraction since its soft opening in August, and now even more so after the official opening. Universal just made an announcement about a change that’s already coming to the popular roller coaster, and it’s going to make your Universal trip a little more expensive if you want to maximize your time.
Got any holiday plans to visit Universal Hollywood? Starting on November 2nd, Universal Studios Hollywood will be introducing a single-use Universal Express option for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift. The listed price for the Express starts at $19.95 per person.
Look at them go!
The traditional Universal Express option provides priority access to multiple attractions that use Express. However, the Express purchase offered in this case covers only one ride — Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift. It’s almost like buying Disney World’s Lightning Lane Single Pass for a ride that isn’t covered under the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. So, you need to pay separately to skip the line for that single ride.
SO COOL
When looking at the Express options for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, the price is $19.95 from Mondays through Thursdays, but increases to $24.95 from Fridays through Sundays. That’s the case consistently from November through January, which is as far as the calendar on the Universal website goes as of right now.
Express!
It’s important to remember that the single-use Universal Express option charge isn’t a part of your admission to the theme park. This is an additional charge to skip the line for this ride ONLY! You can see how much more this could add to your vacation, especially for families. Say you have a family of five, and you want to buy this option; that’s basically an additional $100 to your trip. That’s even more if you buy it on the weekend.
Hollywood Drift
This is something to keep an eye on for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coming to Universal Orlando Resort, which is set to open in 2027. The new coaster will be located where the former Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit once stood and will include the same 360-degree drifting cars racing along the tracks at high speeds.
