On Wednesday’s episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Jennifer Lawrence confirmed the rumors that she will return as Katniss Everdeen in Sunrise on the Reaping, along with Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark and Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy. Book readers know that Suzanne Collins’ Sunrise on the Reaping novel ends with a flash-forward epilogue featuring Katniss, Peeta, and Haymitch, and the film is likely taking a page from the original. So how are Hunger Games fans reacting to this major news?
On fan site Complex’s Instagram post, @yasminanda19 commented, “Omg omg I can’t!!!!!!” @haitianroyalty_ragg said, “OMG ,” and @xokrissyrai added, “Yesssssss!” @citygirl.y commented, “TAKE MY RENT MONEY,” and @firxdaus said, “we want this.” @kennedybyrd_ added, “I’m sat.” @m.alcolmbreaux said, “Mother is back.”

@Pizza Hut
Not all reactions were positive, though. @gleisonbancolita commented, “She’s back like for how many seconds of screen time? ” @almondvill is more concerned with Marvel, asking, “But will she return in Doomsday as Mystique?” @stephenn.wav agreed, saying, “We need you as Mystique in X-Men.” @tobar_8_7 repeated, “But will she return in Doomsday?”
