Would You Pay Nearly $700 for One Day at Magic Kingdom?

Would You Pay Nearly 0 for One Day at Magic Kingdom?

Remember when Disney’s FastPass service came included with your theme park admission? Those days feel especially far away as Walt Disney World reaches a new record price for Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

On Monday, November 23, 2026, during the busy Thanksgiving holiday week, Magic Kingdom’s Lightning Lane Premier Pass costs a whopping $479 per person. That’s nearly $500 for quicker access to attractions, and it doesn’t include park admission!

Here are the record-high Premier Pass prices for November 23:

  • Magic Kingdom: $479
  • EPCOT: $269
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $369
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $219

Lightning Lane Premier Pass allows you to enter each participating Lightning Lane attraction once throughout the day, without scheduling return times. It also includes popular attractions that normally require separate Lightning Lane Single Pass purchases.

For comparison, here are the Lightning Lane Multi Pass prices for the same date:

  • Magic Kingdom: $45
  • EPCOT: $35
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $39
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $29

Multi Pass lets you reserve up to three attractions in advance, then make additional selections after using the first reservation, subject to availability.

Is Nearly $700 for One Park Day Worth It?

A one-day Magic Kingdom ticket for November 23 costs approximately $209 per adult, before tax. Add the $479 Premier Pass, and you’re looking at $688 per person, before taxes, food, parking, or souvenirs. For a family of four paying adult ticket prices, that’s $2,752 for one day!

There’s certainly value in avoiding long standby lines during Thanksgiving week, especially if you’re visiting for a limited time. But I can’t help thinking about how Disney not too long ago offered FastPass at no additional charge. Premier Pass offers more flexibility than the old system, sure, but does that convenience justify such an enormous extra expense?

Would you pay nearly $700 for one day at Magic Kingdom, or take your chances with standby lines or scheduling Lightning Lanes with the Multi Pass?
