The Caribbean Beach Resort is arguably one of the most historically important resorts on Disney World property, as the hotel was the VERY first Moderate Tier Resort when it opened back in 1988.
It’s also one of the most uniquely laid out resorts on property, with massive, sprawling grounds made up of sets of interconnected building villages named after countries in the Caribbean. That can make it a tough task to determine which area, building, and room is best to request for guests. However, fear not, we recently walked the entire Caribbean Beach Resort and found the best rooms for each kind of guest!
Thanks to Caribbean Beach Resort’s unique layout, we’re going to examine the hotel area by area and pick out the best rooms in each.
Jamaica
- If you’re staying in the Jamaica area and want to access the Walt Disney World Skyliner, building 41 – – and specifically room 4101 – – is going to be closest.
- Building 43, room 4313, is closest to Jamaica’s quiet pool.
- Jamaica building 45 will be closest to the boardwalk/bridge to bring you to Old Port Royale (the hotel’s main lobby, pool, dining complex), with rooms 4524 to 4521 on the building’s ground level closest to the bridge over.
- Room 4556 provides the best views of the resort, the Skyliner, and the neighboring Riviera Resort.
- Finally, buildings 44 and 46, and rooms 4401, 4603,4603 are closest to the bus stop.
Aruba
- In the Aruba area, building 51 is the closest to the bridge to Old Port Royale, with rooms 5124-5121 specifically being closest.
- Meanwhile, building 52 is also close to the quiet pool, and rooms 5257-5260 have Aruba’s best views of the resort, its lake, and the Riviera Resort.
- Building 55 (specifically room 5509) is the closest to the Skyliner, as well as the walkway to the Riviera.
- Finally, building 56 and room number 5601 is the closest room to the bus stop.
Trinidad
- In the Trinidad village area, building 34 and room 3405 is closest (uh, relatively) to the walkway to get to the Skyliner.
- Building 32, specifically room 3228, is closest to Spyglass Grill, the area’s quiet pool, and the laundry area.
- Building 36, room 3628, and building 37, room 3723, are the closest to the bus stop
Barbados
- In Barbados, Building 33, room 3317 is closest to the quiet pool and also the walkway to the Skyliner. The same building’s room 3308 is closest to Barbados’ bus stop.
- Finally, building 31 is going to be closest to Old Port Royale.
Martinique
- Finally, we have Martinique, where buildings 25 and 26 are closest to Old Port Royale, especially room 2518.
- Building 24 is closest to the Martinique bus stop, the pool, and the Riviera, which will be the closest Skyliner access as well. Specifically, room 2416 is closest to the pool as well as the walkway towards the Riviera.
So, once you’ve figured out which of these rooms is for you, how can you get it? The best way to try would be to request your desired room (or the desired area of your room) at the front desk when you arrive at the hotel. Now, you CAN try to call before your arrival, but in our experience, it’s better to do it in person. Also, once you make the request, prepare yourself to possibly wait a bit longer than for a general room. Just remember, requesting a specific room or area will NOT guarantee you’ll be able to get one. So please, be kind to the front desk Cast Members; they’re doing their best to help you.
