You don’t have to steal coaxium with Hondo anymore thanks to a new light-up souvenir at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland.
Light-Up Coaxium Canister – $44.99

In the Star Wars universe, coaxium is a rare, powerful substance used to fuel hyperspace travel. Mined on worlds such as Kessel, its unrefined form is highly unstable and can explode if overheated or agitated. The valuable material is central to the heists in both Solo: A Star Wars Story and the former version of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

The replica canister recreates the handheld cylindrical containers seen in Solo, with a transparent upper chamber that lights up blue. The light also shines through the grille below the chamber.

A long silver-colored body is accented by gold trim. Despite its metallic appearance, the canister is made of plastic. Weathered detailing gives the exterior a worn, industrial look. Raised gold rails extend along the lower portion.

A switch on the bottom controls three modes: pulse, marked “I”; steady illumination, marked “II”; and off, marked “O.” A screw-secured battery compartment is also located on the base, which is marked for three AAA batteries.
The design may look familiar to guests who picked up the Coaxium Sipper released during Season of the Force 2025. That souvenir also featured silver-and-gold detailing and a light-up interior cylinder. It went for just $19.99.
The Light-Up Coaxium Canister is also available at Walt Disney World, where, for some reason, it’s $79.99 — nearly double the price of the identical Disneyland souvenir.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run originally tasked guests with stealing a shipment of Coaxium for Hondo Ohnaka. The ride received an update earlier this year that presented a variety of missions themed to The Mandalorian and Grogu. Be sure to check out Tom’s thoughts on the revamped attraction on YouTube:
