When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, no problem. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, that’s available around the resort too.
We recently stopped by Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth taking a detour from the rest of your vacation to stop by? Let’s find out!
Atmosphere
Geyser Point Bar & Grill has all the rustic charm of the Pacific Northwest, just like the rest of Wilderness Lodge. The restaurant is situated at the back of the resort, next to the docks overlooking Bay Lake, so you’ll have to walk around a little bit to get there!
You’ll even find a selection of seating options to take in the view of the lake on the patio behind the restaurant — the options are one of our favorite parts about dining here. Inside, the focal point is the large bar with plenty of seating.
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
Here you’ll find a selection of Small Bites, Rustic Fare, and Kid’s Meal options, as well as a couple of desserts. It’s not the largest menu, but it usually has something for everyone. We also appreciate that there are some non-alcoholic specialty libations that are more than just water and soda.
And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Charcuterie Flatbread for $17, which is made with Salami, Brisket, Chorizo, Bacon, and Smoked Gouda Beer Cheese.
If you’re looking for an appetizer with a little more substance, this is a good choice. The flavors all get their moment to shine, with the meats surprisingly working well together. The chorizo adds an extra punch of flavor that helps give this flatbread some character. The flatbread itself is soft throughout with a slightly crispier crunch on the edges, making it a great texture profile. We do think this is great to share, seeing as it’s as big as it is, but it does get a little messy, so be sure to have some napkins nearby.
We also snagged the Jumbo Artisanal Soft Pretzel for $12, and when they say massive, they really mean it! The pretzel is soft with a hint of salt on top, and it comes with cheese sauce and mustard aïoli for dipping. The beer cheese wasn’t as rich as we were expecting it to be, but was still a good addition.
Now, if you’re craving a pretzel, we think this is a great choice, but it’s not going to be anything super unique, especially considering there are other spots around Disney World that sell jumbo pretzels. It’s a crowd-pleaser, for sure, so if you’ve got a table of pickier eaters, it’s a good choice.
Next were the plant-based Macaroni & “Cheese” Bites for $11, which are “Cheezy” Bites with Tomato and Peppers.
On their own, these aren’t very flavorful. Their pleasant sweet and creamy flavor isn’t overpowering, which we didn’t mind too much since non-dairy cheese isn’t everyone’s favorite, but the tomatoes are roasted and still in large pieces, making this heartier than a tomato sauce. This dish comes to life when you combine the bites with the tomatoes and peppers — it’s a true companion to the dish. Overall, nothing is heavily seasoned, overly salty, or spicy in any way, making this a nice, mild, appealing plant-based dish that we think anyone can enjoy.
The Bison Cheeseburger is $27 and is made with Bacon, Marionberry Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato, and Garlic Aïoli on an Allergy-Friendly Bun and served with fries.
The burger was moist and packed with tons of flavor. The sesame bun was soft and fluffy, while the bacon added a nice salty bite without being too crispy or burnt. The cheese also worked well with the other toppings, and the marionberry sauce was a standout — its creamy sweetness added another layer of flavor that made this burger different from your typical cheeseburger.
While the toppings all work together flavor-wise, a lot is going on, meaning it does get a little messy. The fries it comes with are classic fries — lightly salted and soft, but nothing to write home about, though you can replace them with kettle chips if you’d like. While this is on the pricier side, the combination of flavors makes it worth it for more adventurous eaters.
You can also grab the Plant-Based Vegetable Burger with “Cheese” for $22 with Spicy Slaw, Pepper Jack “Cheese”, Lettuce, and Tomato.
The first thing you need to know is that this comes topped with a really delicious “spicy” slaw that has a little kick to it. While it likely won’t be much to those who are used to spice, others who don’t eat it often may find it to be too much. The lettuce and tomato are really fresh, and the combination of all these veggies makes for a lighter, more refreshing vegan burger experience. The burger itself is a meat-substitute-style patty, like a Beyond or Impossible burger. The bun is similar to brioche, with a light sweetness that rounds out the experience nicely.
We can definitely tell this is a lounge offering, since it lives somewhere between a quick-service burger and a table-service burger. While we do think this is solid, for the price point, we wish it had just a little bit more punch to it, or hit the same way the Bison Burger did, especially since it’s only $4 less. Either that, or we think this should be a few dollars cheaper.
Finally, we snagged the Coffee And Doughnuts Crème Brûlée for $10. This comes with a coffee-flavored vanilla bean custard topped with a crisp, caramelized sugar layer, along with mini maple bacon doughnuts on the side.
The doughnuts are incredibly fluffy, almost like biting into a cloud. The maple syrup gives them a sweet, pancake-like flavor, and you can smell that maple goodness as soon as the plate hits the table. They do lean on the side of being slightly too sweet for some people, so keep that in mind.
The crème brûlée is where the coffee flavor really comes in. The rich, dark coffee taste hits you almost immediately, paired with a soft, creamy custard that melts in your mouth. The chocolate decorations on top add an extra layer of richness, while the whipped cream offers a refreshing break from the strong coffee flavor.
The coffee flavor is really intense overall, so you’ve gotta be a big fan of that flavor to enjoy this!
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You want “Wilderness Lodge vibes” with zero reservation stress. Geyser Point Bar & Grill is first-come, first-served, open-air, and parked right by the water, so it feels like a little Pacific Northwest vacation dropped into Florida.
- You want a “break from the parks” that still feels special. The setting is the star: rustic lodge energy, big deck seating, and those Bay Lake views that make everything taste 10% better.
- You’re trying to keep costs from going full signature-dining. It’s not cheap-cheap, but it’s often a sweet spot for a sit-down-style meal without the full table-service production, and Disney notes some dining plans are accepted.
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You need guaranteed seating at a specific time. Because there are no advance dining reservations, this can be a “walk up and hope” situation at peak times, especially around sunset.
- You’re counting on this for a perfect fireworks view. The resort’s trees make common-area views tough (some rooms have partial views), while other guides suggest you might catch higher bursts from the lakeside walkway near Geyser Point. So: maybe a bonus glimpse, not a guaranteed fireworks lounge.
- You require air-conditioning, silence, and controlled weather. It’s outdoors, so heat, humidity, rain, and Florida’s general unpredictability can absolutely affect your experience.
Overall
This is a DFB favorite for a reason, and we personally think it’s one of the best lounges, even if it is a bit out of the way from the parks. You’ll find us coming back time and time again, so yes, we can’t recommend it enough!
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
