AI Robots Could Soon Direct Parking and Clean Attraction Glasses at Disney Parks

AI Robots Could Soon Direct Parking and Clean Attraction Glasses at Disney Parks

During the Disney Accelerator 2026 Demo Day, five companies showcased various AI projects they are collaborating on with Disney, including robots that could help coordinate parking and clean 3D glasses.

Disney Accelerator 2026 Demo Day

The Disney Accelerator program helps “leaders explore how technology can support more connected and personalized experiences for fans.” Participants worked alongside Disney teams over the course of four months to “explore how their technologies can help expand creative possibilities, streamline production workflows, enhance operational capabilities, and deepen guest insights.”

Promise, OpenArt, FieldAI, Physical Intelligence, and Simile participated in the 2026 Demo Day.

“This year’s cohort brought advanced domain expertise, but even more importantly, grounded every conversation with a clear point of view on how these technologies can work responsibly for people,” said Bonnie Rosen, General Manager, the Disney Accelerator. “It’s been a privilege to help these collaborations take shape, opening real paths for these technologies to address meaningful operational priorities across our businesses, enable seamless guest experiences, and serve creativity.”

FieldAI’s Parking Robots

FieldAI, collaborating with Disney Experiences Technology and Walt Disney Imagineering R&D, is testing autonomous robots that could help guide cars to parking. A video rendering of these possible robots showcased two different Cars-inspired designs. One is an orange car with a yellow safety vest-like design. Another is blue with “Parking Aide” on its hood.

Both designs have a screen on the roof that would give instructions through text and/or images, as well as light-up arms to point in different directions.

Gary Daniels, SVP, Products & Experiences, Disney Experiences Technology, also said WALL-E characters could potentially be brought to life with this technology.

The robots are designed to work through “complex terrain and unpredictable weather to improve the work environment and provide a more consistent experience for guests.”

Imagineering R&D and FieldAI are also exploring how advanced situational awareness and navigation capabilities could inform future robotic character experiences.

Robots For Clean 3D Glasses

Physical Intelligence is similarly working with R&D on advancements in general-purpose robotics and embodied AI. They are exploring how adaptable robotic systems could assist with repetitive backstage tasks like handling and arranging 3D glasses for cleaning between shows. Like the FieldAI technology, this could also be adapted for potential robot characters.

Promise, OpenArt, Simile, and More

AI-native entertainment studio and technology company Promise took Demo Day attendees through a live demonstration of hybrid filmmaking, blending live-action production with generative creative workflows. Guests experienced a grey box production environment featuring a live actor performance, followed by a demonstration of how an artist can bring this performance into different story environments.

OpenArt, an AI-powered creative platform, announced a collaboration with Disney Music Group. Creative teams will be able to rapidly explore and evaluate visual concepts for lyric videos via OpenArt’s custom suite of tools.

Simile, a leader in consumer intelligence and decision-support technology, is working with Walt Disney World to explore how advanced analytics and decision-support tools can simplify vacation planning for guests.

Members of the 2025 Disney Accelerator program also returned to show their progress after a year. Haddy displayed 3D-printed set pieces and prototypes fabricated with Walt Disney Imagineering. Their work includes a prop canoe on Jungle Cruise at Disneyland, a King Louie throne featured at Shanghai Disney Resort, rock facades, and themed light fixtures.

Animaj hosted a live demo of FlipMove, its artist-led, AI-powered animation workflow. Starting with an artist’s sketched animatic, FlipMove builds staged 3D shots and accelerates layout, director retakes, and in-betweening, so creative teams can review and iterate faster while retaining full creative control. FlipMove is now used in production on Ozzy Fox, a series the company has co-developed with Disney Jr. After a successful launch on YouTube, Animaj and Disney Jr. are already in production on Ozzy Fox season 2 of the show.
