I Refuse To Pay a Premium Price for Magic Kingdom’s Christmas Party. Here’s the Cheat I Use Instead

Every year, the same thing happens. The first whispers of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party start floating around, and group chats everywhere light up with heart-eyed emojis and talk of cookies, parades, and snow falling on Main Street. Then, you look at the ticket price, and that holiday cheer takes a nosedive faster than Dumbo in a wind tunnel.

Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

Don’t get us wrong, the party is magical. But paying a premium price for a few hours after dark (on top of everything else a Disney World trip costs) just doesn’t fit into many budgets. And here’s the secret: you don’t need a party ticket to experience most of the Christmas magic at Magic Kingdom! We’re spilling our top tips on how you can see exclusive Magic Kingdom holiday offerings without paying a premium for a party ticket.

That’s right, friends! With nothing more than a regular park ticket, you can soak up the decorations, snack on seasonal treats, catch holiday entertainment, and snap all those picture-perfect photos, all during the day — with a regular park ticket.

Here’s where things get fun. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration castle show, and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks are all headliners of the party. But Disney slips some of them into regular park hours at certain times of the year!

Christmastime Parade

The one-day-only trick for this year is early November. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is expected to run during regular park hours on November 10th and 11th, 2026, so day guests with regular tickets and Annual Passholders can watch it without a party ticket. The parade is happening at 2 PM on both days, but keep in mind that, as of now, Annual Passholder reservations are sold out on both days. Disney is filming its holiday special during these dates, so expect park crowds to be a little higher.

Parade time

The second window is Christmas week. Following the end of the party season, the parade is expected to appear during regular park hours from December 23rd through December 31st. Last year it ran at 12 PM and 3 PM daily, and it replaced the usual Festival of Fantasy Parade. Grab a curb spot near Frontierland or on Main Street about 45 minutes early, because this crowd is real!

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks is the party’s fireworks show, but in 2025 it replaced Happily Ever After at 8:30 PM for all Magic Kingdom guests during the holiday peak. This year, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks have been confirmed for regular Magic Kingdom guests at 8 PM from December 23rd through December 29th.

Finally, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration is another party exclusive that has historically popped up the week of Christmas. Last year’s Christmas week lineup included the stage show along with the parade and fireworks. We’re expecting the same will be true this year, though nothing has been confirmed just yet.

In addition to all the entertainment, we typically see snoap on Main Street during the days leading up to and the week after Christmas! Snoap is Disney World’s version of snow — since it doesn’t actually snow in Orlando, Disney uses soap bubbles to mimic the effect, and we look forward to it every year!
