There are literally THOUSANDS of snacks across Disney World. Some are ones we would die for, while there are others we wouldn’t eat even if someone was paying us to (I’m looking at you, turkey leg — and it looks like some of you agree!)
We took to our Facebook and asked, “We wanna know…What are the Disney World Snacks You Wouldn’t Wish on Your Worst Enemy? .” Some were reasonable while others were just straight-up SHOCKING! Let’s take a look at what you said!
Turkey Leg
To start, we have the aforementioned turkey leg. You can find these in several places around Disney World, but they’re most commonly eaten at Liberty Square Market in Magic Kingdom. While it’s basically a tradition to try this at least once in your life, there are people who wouldn’t wish this snack upon their worst enemy. This includes Jamie McDowell, who said, “I’ve never had one (out of respect for my own health), but imma go with the turkey leg. A week’s worth of sodium!”
Sandra Givens had a similar thought, writing, “Oh, easy: turkey leg.” Sandra Dyer even included a nauseous emoji in her response, commenting, “100% the turkey leg ” But Lori Ferrigan actually LIKES turkey legs! They wrote, “Reading these and thinking of how much I actually WANT a turkey leg!!” To each their own!
Churro
Another popular response was the churro, and people actually included both Disney World and Disneyland! Jaime Marie Heath wrote, “As a Disneyland expert (former annual pass holder and current Magic key holder), I wouldn’t wish a churro on anyone.” That one got some shocked reactions! Robin Wayman made sure to specify that all churros are bad, commenting, “Churros except for the ones at Nomad Lounge.” We totally agree, Robin!
Mickey Pretzel
A lot of people also mentioned the Mickey-shaped pretzels. Cindy Sparks simply wrote, “Mickey pretzels,” which received several responses, including from Cassie Briegel, who said, “Yep – so dry and the cheese is so salty,” and Ashley Dawn Haefner, who wrote, “came here to say the same!” Nice name, by the way, Ashley! But anyways, we can agree with y’all — we’d much rather go for the better pretzels around property, like the Bavarian Pretzel from BaseLine Tap House and the Jumbo Pretzel in the Germany Pavilion!
Cheeseburger Spring Rolls
Now, let’s start getting into the ones that are more shocking than the responses above. Heading to Adventureland in Magic Kingdom, Neesa Hart isn’t a fan of one of the park’s most popular snacks: “Cheese Burger Spring Rolls. Those are a greasy, slimy mess.”
Corn Dog Nuggies
Sticking on the topic of messes, Christine Pappas Gronell wrote, “Expected Casey’s dogs to be so much better. Too soggy.” Depending on the toppings, those hot dogs can definitely get soggy — the Corn Dog Nuggets are probably a safer (and more delicious) bet.
Gaston’s Cinnamon Roll
Staying in Magic Kingdom, Johnny Patata may have just made a few enemies when they said, “Cinnamon roll at Gastons…..dryer than a desert.” YIKES! That’s why you have to get extra icing, Johnny — that’s the number one rule!
More SHOCKING Statements
A few people also mentioned the Cheshire Cat Tail from Cheshire Cafe, the Pongu Lumpia from Pongu Pongu, and the Skolebrød from Krigla Bakeri og Cafe.
Mickey Beignets
Cheryl Ann’s response literally made me gasp out loud and almost fall out of my chair. They wrote, “This is an unpopular opinion, beignets from French Quarter.” CHERYL! You must have had them on a bad day because those are one of my most beloved snacks in all of Disney World! Give them another shot for me, PLEASE! Especially those Valentine’s Day ones — those are my favorite!
Some of these snacks I agree with and would NEVER wish them upon my worst enemy, while some of you may have just become one… KIDDING! Maybe. Stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more Disney news, updates, tips, and tricks.
