I spent a good chunk of this year on a signing tour for my NYT bestselling book, Disney Adults. And I met thousands of incredible people who I wanted to hang out with, but only got to spend a few minutes talking to…and then I had to pack up and jet off to the next city.

So I decided to create a space where we can hang out as much as we want. Welcome to AJ’s Book Club! I’m so freaking glad you’re here!

Now, I’ll be honest. I usually don’t join book clubs because:

1. I’m busy. There’s no way I’m gonna be able to commit the time.
2. I get into book obsessive phases where I only want to read one genre and what if I don’t want to read the book everyone else is reading?
3. What if everyone in there is weird? What if I’M WEIRD and they don’t like me?

Now some of those are my problems that I can handle with a therapist at a future date, but…something tells me that a lot of YOU might feel similarly about at least a couple of those.

So we’re gonna fix those problems so that you…YES YOU! (and me!)…can finally have a book club where YOU (and me!) feel like we really BELONG.

What to Expect

AJ’s Book Club newsletters will keep you up to date on all the goss, including a digest of discussions happening around the club so that, if you’re busy, you can get caught up quickly

Events!

While lots of what we do will be online for anyone to access, we’ll also have virtual and in-person events that you can attend if that suits your temperament and you actually want to see people’s faces.

No Judgement Zone

The only goal of the club is to make sure you get to read as much as you want to read. However you want to read. We will have multiple books and discussion groups going at once so you can be involved with the discussions that suit your book preferences: romance, biographies, mystery, romantasy, thriller, historical fiction…maybe you’re reading a bunch with your kid right now, and you want to focus on kids’ series or young adult lit. Whatever you’re into right now is fine, and there will be a place for it in AJ’s Book Club.

Flexibility

You can read however you want: paper books, e-readers, audiobooks…all good! The club is actually sponsored by Audible, which I am SO excited about since pretty much all my reading is audio-reading!

Members Drive the Bus

What does this mean, AJ? Well, the club is YOUR club. OUR club. We make the rules. We decide the books. If we want to have a giant virtual pizza party, we totally can because what’s WRONG with a virtual pizza party?! I’ll be sending regular polls and surveys so that YOU can help make the decisions.
