What Happens If It Rains During Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios?

Disney World is the most magical place on earth, but it might also be the most rainy place on earth. If you’ve been to Central Florida, you know it rains almost every day!

Disney World just announced its rainy-day policy for the holiday after-hours event Jollywood Nights. Here’s what happens when it rains at Jollywood Nights!


Jollywood Nights will continue in most weather, so you don’t need to worry about a little rain canceling your night out. If there’s rain, thunder, or lightning in the area, though, Disney could still cancel some entertainment offerings.

If it rains, some or all performances of Glisten! may be canceled. Glisten! is an ice-skating show located right in front of the Chinese Theater, featuring live dancers and ice skaters jamming out to your favorite Christmas tunes. Since the show is entirely outside, the ice will get slippery with water when it rains.

Additionally, some or all performances of the Twilight Soiree at the Tip Top Club could be canceled if it rains. Located in the courtyard by Tower of Terror, this live entertainment offering features a live band and singer, who are yet again entirely outdoors.

If the rain does cancel these shows, then Disney will add an extra midnight performance of Holidays in Hollywood to make up for it. Holidays in Hollywood follows Kermit and Miss Piggy as they host a live holiday special, featuring appearances by Mickey, Minnie, Princess Belle, and more iconic Disney characters.

If it rains during your Jollywood Night, Disney will move the following outdoor character meet-and-greets indoors:

  • Inside Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular: Chip ‘n’ Dale from Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Baloo or King Louie from TaleSpin, Max as Powerline, and Phineas and Ferb
  • Inside ABC Commissary: José Carioca or Panchito from The Three Caballeros
  • Near First Order Cargo: The Mandalorian and Grogu
  • Near Toy Story Mania!: Bo Peep and Sarge
  • Near Roundup Rodeo BBQ: Partysaurus Rex
  • Throughout Pixar Plaza: Bing Bong, Joy, Sadness, Mike Wazowski, George Sanderson, and Needleman
  • At The Edna Mode Experience: Edna Mode and Frozone
  • Inside The Magic of Disney Animation: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto

The following four characters will stay in their regular meet-and-greet locations even if it rains:

  • Near Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run: Chewbacca
  • At Celebrity Spotlight: Stitch dressed as Santa
  • Near BaseLine Tap House: Scrooge McDuck
  • At Walt Disney Presents: Duffy dressed as Santa
