Disney’s Yacht Club Resort at Walt Disney World has now completed its extensive exterior refurbishment, while work continues over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Refurbishment Complete

During our recent visit to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, we noticed all of the scaffolding and construction walls that had surrounded the resort’s buildings are now removed, suggesting the extensive exterior refurbishment is now complete.

The gray siding and white trim design of the exterior have been restored, and the red-and-white striped awnings for some of the windows have returned.

Scaffolding and construction walls have been present at both Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts since 2025. The refurbishment included removing and replacing siding, as well as interior maintenance.
Once the work reached the central building, guests could no longer access the main entrance to the Yacht Club Resort lobby, which was blocked off with scaffolding and construction walls.

The refurbishment was originally planned to be completed by October 2025, but was then announced to last until late 2026.
With the apparent completion of the refurbishment, the Walt Disney World website has been updated to now only show the following message:
Disney Skyliner will be closed for routine refurbishment from January 24 through 30, 2027, and from January 24 through February 2, 2028. Complimentary bus service will be available.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort Refurbishment Update

Over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, we noticed workers near large piles of scaffolding. They appeared to be securing those piles to eventually be taken away, suggesting the ongoing exterior refurbishment may be nearing completion.

Refurbishment of the porte cochere was completed last December, but the resort’s overall refurbishment was extended through 2027. In February this year, much of the blue siding was stripped and replaced, but scaffolding has remained around parts of the resort, as seen in the previous photo.

White construction walls dotted with aqua-colored signs lines one of the walkways around the resort, blocking the work from view.

Some of the remaining scaffolding can be seen on the far end of the building as well.
As the Walt Disney World website notes:
Through late 2027, Disney’s Beach Club Resort will be undergoing visible exterior maintenance, which may impact views from various locations across the Resort hotel and—at times—require alternate paths of travel. Guests may see or hear work in the area during daytime hours until the refurbishment is complete.
The resort will also be impacted by the aforementioned Disney Skyliner refurbishments in January 2027 and January 2028.
