You know that feeling when you’ve been eating fries and DOLE whips for four days straight in Disney World, and your body decides you desperately need a vegetable? Yeah, I’ve been there too.
It’s likely the combination of lots of fried food, being out in the elements all day, and the 20K steps you’re clocking in each park, but at some point, your body is probably going to beg you for some vitamins. Well, if you have found yourself in that spot, congratulations — I’ve got the solution for you!
Garden Grill
Starting out strong, I’m going to recommend you head over to Garden Grill. This family-style character meal is located inside The Land Pavilion at EPCOT, and they’re known for having delicious fresh veggies that are grown right downstairs inside the Living with the Land greenhouses!
The vegetables you’re served change seasonally, but you’ll always get some kind of salad and usually some kind of side veggie to go with your meal. In general, we’re big fans of the meal here because it’s laid back, you often get to see the characters multiple times, and Farmer Mickey is just too stinkin’ cute.

Columbia Harbour House
Heading over to Magic Kingdom, Columbia Harbour House is one of the best quick-service spots to go if you’re craving something healthier. Yes, you can get fried shrimp and chicken tenders here, but they also have meals like salmon with rice and green beans. In addition, they have a grilled shrimp plate and a shrimp salad.
The food here is truly a cut above the other quick-service spots in Magic Kingdom, and it’s nice that you can sit down and enjoy it in a laid-back, air-conditioned environment. As long as you like seafood, this is a great option!

Connections Eatery
Connections Eatery is the big quick-service restaurant in EPCOT near the front of the park, and while it does offer some basic crowd-pleasing eats, perhaps the best item on the menu is the General Tso Chicken Salad. You can also get it in a tofu version, but this is one of the fresher and more exciting quick-service salads available.
The chicken is crispy on the outside with a delightful General Tso sauce, and the portion size is decent for the price. If it’s a salad you want, this is likely your best fast food option in EPCOT.

The Hollywood Brown Derby
But speaking of salads, the KING of all Disney World salads is over in Hollywood Studios at The Hollywood Brown Derby and The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge. Here, they have the Cobb Salad, made famous by the OG Brown Derby restaurant in literal Hollywood.
Made with spit-roasted turkey, bacon, egg, tomatoes, blue cheese, avocado, and topped with classic dressing, this chopped salad quite literally changed my perspective on how good a salad could be. I dream about it sometimes in the heat of summer when I want something fresh and light, but delicious with every bite. (I may sound like I’m overselling it, and I promise you I am NOT — our whole team is obsessed with it!)

Sunshine Seasons
If you’re looking for something healthy in EPCOT that’s not explicitly a salad, might I recommend Sunshine Seasons? Located inside The Land Pavilion (they’ve really got the monopoly on good veggies over there), it’s only fully open for lunch, so you’ll have to stop by midday.
However, if you’re there at the right time, you can snag hot entrees with green beans on the side. Wood-fired chicken and salmon are both on the menu, as well as a grilled chicken breast on the kids’ menu. They’re hearty portions, and they feel a bit more like meals you would eat for dinner at home than theme park food.

Yak & Yeti
This may seem a little unconventional, but a good stop in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Yak & Yeti Restaurant. Here, there are quite a few entrees cooked in a wok, and most of them come with stir-fried vegetables on the side. If you’re really feeling veggie-forward, you can get the Roasted Vegetable Bowl with marinated veggies, quinoa, rice, and a vegan Sriracha aioli.
This is a great way to get vegetables in on your vacation without sacrificing flavor! You’re still getting a full restaurant experience with some interesting dishes.

Basically Any Buffet
And finally, I’ve got to shout out all the buffet restaurants around Disney World! Pretty much all of these will have a decent selection of both fruits and vegetables, as well as either a salad option or a full-scale salad bar. Now, your veggie options may be limited if you’re dining for breakfast, but lunch and dinner should be fair game.
It’s completely normal to feel a little sluggish (or get a little tummy ache) after eating fried food for several days in a row, so there’s no shame in cramming a few veggies mid-week. After you eat them, you’ll probably feel a lot more chipper…and honestly, your digestive tract will thank you. To see more great places to eat in Disney World, check out our video below!
