Moderate MK, HS crowds – Disney World Wait Times for Monday, January 4, 2021

Crowds were still visiting the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios today, while EPCOT experienced one of its slowest days in a long time.  We counted 489 of 500 guests (98%) at Hollywood Studios wearing masks according to Disney’s guidelines.  And we got 148 actual wait times from Lines users today. Let’s do the numbers!

Magic Kingdom Wait Times

Most Magic Kingdom attractions’ actual wait times today were reasonably accurate – 70% of the posted wait time or better.  But Big Thunder Mountain Railroad wasn’t one of the,  BTMRR had an average wait time today of 69 minutes. We received 8 actual wait times today, and the actual wait averaged 48% of the posted wait time.

Animal Kingdom Wait Times

Even within the same land, there’s a huge different in actual versus posted wait times at Pandora. Na’vi River Journey had an average wait time today of 79 minutes. We received 4 actual wait times today, and the actual wait averaged 118% of the posted wait time.

Avatar Flight of Passage had an average wait time today of 66 minutes. We received 6 actual wait times today, and the actual wait averaged 65% of the posted wait time.  That’s a huge difference from Na’vi River Journey.
