What’s New in EPCOT: New Booze, a France Pavilion Expansion Update, and MORE!

We spent a lovely day in EPCOT yesterday…

2021 EPCOT Festival of the Arts

…and now we’re taking you along! Things are always changing in Disney World so we work hard to keep up with everything new. Here are ALL the updates in food, construction, and merchandise from EPCOT yesterday!

EPCOT Food Updates

La Cava del Tequila

Let’s start with the food (and drink) updates! In honor of the ninth anniversary of a mezcal distillery, La Cave del Tequila was pouring super adventurous shot. Would YOU try it?

La Cava del Tequila

The offering is a $9 pour of Mezcal Gracias a Dios distillery’s special edition Ensamble mezcal — and it comes with a side of grasshoppers and an orange slice! And guess what? It’s a delicious mezcal; so, give it a try if that’s your thing!

Fife and Drum

Over at Fife and Drum, we noticed that they were offering Jim Beam Red Stag Black Cherry Bourbon with Hot Cocoa again. This is a recurring offering when temps drop.

Karamell Küche

Over at Karamell Küche, we gave the Werther’s Caramel Square a try for $4.29. No surprises here but it was rich, creamy, and delicious.

Weinkeller

Weinkeller’s wine of the week is the Hex vom Dasenstein Pinot Noir. A 3-oz pour is available for $12 or you can snag the whole bottle for $24. Keep in mind, you can’t drink that bottle in the park. They will package it up for you and you can enjoy it after you leave.

EPCOT Construction Updates

2021 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts

A big staple of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is chalk art! We noticed a new Mulan Chalk Art piece being done and it was SO realistic.

You can head on over to our full post to see the artist at work!

We also spotted Art Defying Gravity performing as a part of the festival in World Showplace. So cool!

France Expansion

Yesterday, we noticed that the plant barriers at the France Expansion had been moved further away from the entrance to the expansion. This was likely to help keep guests from trying to take pictures through the bushes.

But then today the bushes were gone completely and we actually got to step INSIDE part of the new France Expansion! You’ve gotta see it!

Future World

We snapped a few pics in Future World to check in on construction. It’s difficult to tell if there’s been progress, but the Innoventions building is still gutted.

Mouse Gear

Mouse Gear (the original, not the temporary) is similarly still a work in progress!

EPCOT Merchandise Updates

Mouse Gear

Finally, on to merchandise! First up, we spotted this Walt Disney World Balloon Tumbler in Mouse Gear for $22.99.

Mouse Gear also had two pairs of men’s underwear — Mickey Boxer Briefs

…and Green Army Men Briefs for $19.99 each.

Festival of the Arts Pop Gallery Booth

We spotted some really cool Art Purses at the Pop Gallery Festival of the Arts Booth. These were all created by artist Kent Stetson and the prices range from $195 to $295.

Art Purses

We especially liked the Pizza Purse (that looks like a real slice!)…

…and the Donut Purse.

Mitsukoshi Department Store

In the Japan Pavilion, we found a few new offerings at the Mitsukoshi Department Store. Check out this Animal Crossing Backpack for $84.95. We love the window for displaying pins.

Then there were some new-to-us masks for $16.95 each. The Naruto Ichiraku Ramen Shop Mask

…and two Hello Kitty Masks.

World Traveler

Finally, we spotted some not-new-but-new-to-this-location merchandise at World Traveler. Some American Adventure Pavilion merchandise was on sale here. With Art of Disney in the America Pavilion, there isn’t too much room for other merchandise so it’s good this location brings us a spot to purchase these items.
