What’s New in Magic Kingdom: Harper’s Mill Construction, a Merch Typo, and More!

We’re “walkin’ right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.” in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

Main Street, U.S.A.

… and we’re taking YOU along as we check out what’s NEW around the park, from shortbread snacks to construction updates to merchandise and more. Here we go!

Magic Kingdom Food Updates

Minnie is a Shortbread Star

You may be well familiar with the yummy Walkers Shortbread Cookies available at merchandise locations all around Walt Disney World. And while we always keep an eye out for that terrific Double Decker Bus tin that’s positively packed with Disney pals…

… we couldn’t help but notice a new-to-us box of the Chocolate Chip Shortbread Rounds featuring Minnie Mouse!

Walkers Shortbread Rounds with Minnie

It’s typically Mickey we see gracing the packaging, and while he’s always a happy sight, it’s nice to see Minnie along for the shortbread fun.

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates

Rivers of America

We’re peeking in on a few locations undergoing work at the moment. First stop? The Rivers of America, which is still drained to accommodate refurbishment work.

Rivers of America

If you recall, Harper’s Mill was recently surrounded by scaffolding, but this is the current view.

Current View of Harper’s Mill

Of course, the main thing missing remains the name of Harper’s Mill painted boldly on the side of the building, so we’ll be paying more visits while they’re “a-workin’ to purty up this here area!”

“Sorry ’bout all the Ruckus!”

See more of the Rivers of America — completely drained — here!

TRON Lightcycle Run

Heading into Tomorrowland, we always enjoy bringing you along to see the latest when it comes to the ongoing work on TRON Lightcycle Run!

TRON Construction

As we’re keeping eyes on the progress, we’re also keeping our ears open for news on the status of this huge Tomorrowland endeavor, and you can read some of the latest here.

Walt Disney World Railroad

And while we long for the day when we can once again take the Grand Circle Tour around Magic Kingdom by way of its beautiful steam trains, we’re taking a look at bits of the Walt Disney World Railroad (which closed in early 2019 order to accommodate work for TRON).

New Fantasyland Station

This is a current peek around the New Fantasyland station.

Star Traders

Mickey, Minnie and Donald can’t be missed on this super bright and vivid Mickey and Co. shirt we found at Star Traders in Tomorrowland!

This one’s $26.99.

The Emporium

And we spotted a new Stitch necklace ($19.99) by the Disney Parks Jewelry Collection.

Stitch Necklace

It’s a somewhat subtle piece for Stitch, don’t you think? A rather nice and understated necklace with an important reminder: “Ohana Means Family.”

More Magic Kingdom Fun

Don’t forget! The Cinderella’s Carriage PhotoPass photo op is still available in Fantasyland, so you can capture a moment in front of this lovely piece while it’s still here.

For now, we say “So long,” Princesses and Princes…
