Next Week Brings Windy Weather and All Over the Place Temperatures to Disney World!

It’s almost a whole new month in Disney World!

EPCOT

If you’re headed to the Most Magical Place on Earth, we want to make sure you’re packed for whatever weather this Florida winter throws at you! So, is this the week for t-shirts and sunglasses, raincoats and boots, or scarves and jackets? Could it be all three? We’re bringing you an update on the forecast next week!

Weather Forecast

According to The Weather Channel, this week is going to be a bit of a whirlwind when it comes to weather — in more ways than one! Last week was very warm, but this week we’re going to see fickle temps and high winds. Take a look!

February 1st

Monday, February 1st will start the week with cooler temperatures than the ones we’ve been seeing. That day is going to max out at a 62-degree high and we’ll see 42 degrees at night. Hmm… That’s going to feel pretty chilly once the sun goes down!

Add in 15 to 20 mile-per-hour winds and even the daytime might have you catching a chill every so often.

February 2nd

The next day, February 2nd, brings us our coolest temperatures of the week with the high-50s during the day and the low-40s at night.

Those winds are going to be on the higher side this day too, so you’d definitely want to layer up and maybe bring a hat to cover your ears!

February 3rd

On Wednesday, February 3rd, we’re going to see temps jump back up a little bit to the level we started the week. See, we told you we were in for some wacky temperature patterns!

This day should be relatively nice with slightly lower winds and a cooler night.

February 4th

For Thursday, February 4th, we’re seeing a big jump up during the day to the mid-70s and a similar jump in the evening to the high 50s.

This is a day you’re going to want to make sure you break out those layers. 76 degrees is toasty, but if you’re out later that 59-degree low could leave you shivering.

February 5th

The week continues with another jump in temperatures and a still windy day on February 5th.

There are showers in the forecast but they shouldn’t arrive until after midnight. That likely won’t have an effect on your Disney day!

February 6th

Saturday, February 6th brings us similar temperatures in the day and night. This is the day we’ll be seeing some rain so make sure you break out that poncho or rain jacket.

Here, we’re looking at a 78-degree high and a 59-degree low.

February 7th

And we’ll wrap up our week on February 7th with the warmest temperatures sitting at a toasty 81-degree high and a comfy 61-degree low.

Those winds mellow out a bit here too!

Overview of the Week

Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures fluctuate over the course of the week but seem to get warmer as the week goes on. We’re looking at a range of 50s to 80s highs and 40s to 60s lows.

How Should You Plan?

If you are jetting off for a Disney World trip next week, we’ve got a few tips on how to plan for the weather!

It’s time to pack those layers!

It’s weeks like this, especially where layers are important. The days might be a little too warm and the nights might be too cold. The number one way to combat this is to pack those layers in your luggage and in your park bag each day.

Hats

Plus, you’re going to need a variety of warm and cool clothes in general with the amount the temperatures are fluctuating. Remember, you can always take layers off in the park, but you can’t add them if you don’t bring them!

Pack for rain and sun!

There’s only a little bit of rain in the forecast but that doesn’t mean you should leave that rain jacket at home. First off, it’s pretty uncomfy to be soaked in a theme park, and second, you never know when rain can pop up! Plus, rain jackets can be a HUGE asset when you’re trying to get a ride in on Splash Mountain.

Fantasyland in the rain

Plus, winter suns can actually be pretty harsh on your skin! Don’t think that just because it’s winter you can skip out on the lathering up in the morning. We’re seeing sunny days and heat and you DON’T want to find yourself burned because skipped the sunscreen. Yep, even in January!
