With these special events, you can virtually tour the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall and check out some awesome artwork from the comfort of your own couch. Previous virtual exhibits have been inspired by “it’s a small world” and more. Now, a NEW virtual exhibit is coming, centered around nature and conservation. And YOU can enter your artwork to be featured in it!

Walt Disney once said, “Conservation isn’t just the business of a few people. It’s a matter that concerns all of us…if we will use our riches wisely, if we will protect our wildlife and preserve our lakes and streams, these things will last us for generations to come.”

Walt recognized the importance of inspiring others to actively protect nature. For example, in his True-Life Adventures series, Walt paired wildlife footage with storytelling. Those films inspired a mainstream appreciation for wildlife conservation.

Now, The Walt Disney Family Museum is working on a new virtual community art exhibition focused on nature and conservation. The virtual exhibit is called Conserving the Magic of Our Planet. It will debut on Earth Day — April 22nd, 2021.

Adults and teen artists from around the world can now submit artwork “inspired by Walt’s passion for stories based on our natural environment and the protection of our planet.”

The museum will be accepting 2D and 3D artworks, as well as original short films. All of the submitted pieces will be entered in a juried pool for virtual display. The final works selected will be available to view for free online in a virtual 3D rendering of the Diana Disney Miller Special Exhibition Hall.
