What’s New at Magic Kingdom: Short Wait Times and Mailboxes are BACK on Main Street

Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom

We’re back at this magical theme park to give you all the updates on what’s new! And, we’ve got plenty of crowd updates and the return of a Disney World hidden secret to share with you. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s jump right on in!

Magic Kingdom Crowd Update

In our most recent visit, the park was not very busy at all. Crowds were light and mainly gathered near attractions.

The lower crowd levels led to shorter wait times for some popular attractions around the park. Over in Fantasyland, “it’s a small world” had a wait of 20 minutes and Peter Pan’s Flight was the same.

The shorter lines also spanned into Tomorrowland, with Carousel of Progress posted at 30 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin down to 15 minutes, and Space Mountain with a wait of 30 minutes. Though many of the lines spanned outside due to distancing requirements, the wait itself wasn’t that long.

And, in Frontierland, the other two mountains of the park, Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain, had a wait just a little longer at 30 minutes.

Now, these are the wait times we like to see at Disney World if crowds aren’t your thing!

Magic Kingdom Miscellaneous Update

Main Street, U.S.A.

Over on Main Street, U.S.A. we noticed that something that had been missing for a little while has returned! The U.S. Postal Mailboxes are back! Not many people know that you can actually send mail from Disney World, and this is how it’s done!

What does that mean for you? Well, now you can get back to sending some magic mail straight from the most magical place on earth!

Mail is picked up daily by Cast Members who pass it along to the postal service for a safe delivery! So, you can officially go back to pretending that Magic Kingdom is your home and send a postcard to friends and family!
