Ever Want to Craft With Disney Imagineers?! Here’s How You Can!

It may be warm and sunny in Disney World, but if you’re in a lot of the U.S. right now, chances are it’s cold. And snowy. And dark.

So, if you’re looking for something fun to do (beyond reading DFB, that is), Disney Imagineers have teamed up with local ABC networks for a fun new series called “Imagine from Home!”

This interactive video series will teach Disney fans how to use items from around their homes to create new crafts via the ABC app on Roku, AppleTV, Amazon FireTV, or AndroidTV!

ABC Commissary

The first episode, taught by Imagineer Amy Young, will require noting more than a pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener, pens, colored markers, and a ruler as you learn to draw your OWN Disney castle!

No need to go all the way to Batuu to build a bot at Droid Depot! In episode 2, Imagineer Matthew Jamieson Abiva will showcase how to build your VERY own R2 droid using everyday items like soap bottles, corks, and plastic jar tops.

If you love the WILDEST RIDE IN THE WILDERNESS, then you’ll love drawing and your very OWN Big Thunder Mountain Railroad with Imagineer Reid Ekman. Anyone can do it, so long as you have paper, pencils, an eraser, pens, colored pencils or crayons, and a ruler!

Fireworks may be on pause at Disney World right now, so if you’re missing Happily Ever After, you may find some comfort in making your own castle nightlight with Elisabeth Papadopoulos. This requires a few more items, but the end result sounds dazzling!

Finally, you can create your own It’s a Small World after all with Imagineer Xiao Qing Chen, who will teach you every step you need to know to turn cardboard into an animated scene inspired by the classic Disney attraction!

The new series will be on your local ABC station’s app via Roku, AppleTV, Amazon FireTV, or AndroidTV and debut on February 12th! We can ALL use some more Disney magic in our homes, and when Disney releases more craft ideas or recipes, we’ll let you know how to make them all!
