A Disney World Cake SO Good Tiana Could Have Baked It Herself

February is Black History Month and there are lots of great ways to “Celebrate Soulfully” all around Disney World, including at Disney Springs.

Disney Springs

You can check out some great Soul-inspired artwork, check out unique jazz performances, and even eat some special snacks! Today we got the chance to try one of the new treats that has arrived for Black History Month. And (spoiler alert) we think this cake was SO good Tiana could have baked it herself!

At Amorette’s Patisserie, you can get 2 special treats to “Celebrate Soulfully” — the Tiana Petit Cake and the Soul Petit Cake. We’d already seen these cakes recently in Disney World, but today we finally got the chance to try one for ourselves.

Petit Cakes

During this trip we got to try the Tiana cake. Both cakes are made of the same layers, however, so they should be the same in terms of taste. It’s really just a matter of what design you prefer.

Tiana Petit Cake

The Tiana Petit cake is made of chocolate chiffon cake, dark chocolate mousse, raspberry pate de fruit, raspberry mousse, and white chocolate crisp pearls.

Tiana Petit Cake

The cake covered in some beautiful icing and little details, like the design of Tiana on the front and this beautiful flower on top. The colors and designs really reminded us of Tiana’s beautiful green dress. It was especially beautiful how the light green details just draped over the side of cake, much like how the layers of Tiana’s dress lay on top of one another.

Tiana Petit Cake

There’s no denying the cake is adorable. But, does it taste as good as it looks? In our opinion, YES! We thought this cake was absolutely delicious!

We absolutely LOVED the chocolate cake. And our reporter noted that they also really enjoyed both of the mousse layers, especially the raspberry one, even though they are not typically a big mousse fan. So, even if you’re not usually one who LOVES mousse, you might still really like this treat.

Tiana Petit Cake

The only thing our reporter didn’t really like was the raspberry pate de fruit — the layer that had a jelly-like consistency. They said that this layer reminded them of the jelly that you can buy in a can in the grocery store and it was just a turn off. If you love jelly though, you might not be bothered by it at all.

But, the rest of the petit cake was amazing and the jelly layer alone didn’t stop our reporter from saying it was delicious overall.

The cake does melt REALLY quickly though. It started falling apart right as we cut into it. So, if it’s an option for you, you might want to consider taking the cake home or even taking it to your room to let it sit in the fridge for a little bit, rather than eating it right away.

Tiana Cake

The cake itself is priced at $20. That’s certainly a hefty price tag for a dessert or snack. It’s certainly a special, delicious treat. It’s the kind of thing you might not get every single day, but it’s wonderful to get every now and then. It’s also something you could probably eat over time (since it is pretty rich) or you could share with friends. So, that might make the price tag a bit more digestible. Overall, we definitely think it’s totally delicious!

Tiana Petit Cake

You can try it yourself right now at Disney Springs. If this is a must-try for you, be sure to get it while it’s still available!
