PHOTOS and VIDEOS: Some of the Biggest Crowds We’ve Seen in Disney World Since Reopening

We’re coming off a holiday weekend in Disney World!

Tower of Terror

Wait times have been on the rise for the last week. We anticipated this increase, and sure enough, the parks have been pretty crowded all weekend! Let’s take a look at what it was like today.

Magic Kingdom

As we headed into Magic Kingdom today, the crowds didn’t seem too bad on Main Street, U.S.A. It was definitely worse over the weekend!

But in Frontierland, the crowds picked up. We saw a long line to get into Frontier Trading Post

…while the walkways themselves were super congested.

Splash Mountain was at a 95-minute wait when we walked by! That’s more than twice its average wait time last week.

In Fantasyland, it didn’t get any quieter. Crowds funneled through the tight walkway between “it’s a small world” and Peter Pan’s Flight.

The wait for “it’s a small world” was back by the Tangled restrooms!

Meanwhile, the entrance to Pinocchio Village Haus was pretty packed.

We were expecting these higher crowds this weekend into today, and they delivered!

Animal Kingdom

There was a steady stream of guests heading into Disney’s Animal Kingdom this morning.

However, once inside the park, it was clear that things were a lot calmer. There was plenty of open space to walk around the Tree of Life.

Wait times were still long, though! The line for Expedition Everest stretched all the way back to the still-closed Finding Nemo — The Musical.

Over in Pandora, tape directed the line for Pongu Pongu

…while the line for Na’vi River Journey reached all the way across the bridge to Discovery Island.

Guests maintained their distance on the designated markers as they waited.

Like in Magic Kingdom, crowds in Animal Kingdom were higher than normal, but still didn’t reach those peak levels from over the weekend.

Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios also seemed quieter compared to Magic Kingdom. On Sunset Blvd, much of the street remained wide open.

However, there was a line for ice cream at Hollywood Scoops that stretched a long way down the sidewalk.

Wait times were higher than normal, but still not too bad. At around 5PM, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway had a 35-minute wait

Tower of Terror had a 65-minute wait…

…and Slinky Dog Dash had a 65-minute wait.

Walking through Toy Story Land definitely felt a little congested!

Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the crowd levels in Hollywood Studios today!
