We’re Reading WAY Too Far Into This ‘WandaVision’ Cake in Disney World!

We’re really big fans of Disney+’s newest show, WandaVision!

The show has been a hit among Marvel fans with its sitcom-meets-mystery-thriller style and lovable characters. We’ve been so invested that we’ve been shopping the merchandise to rep our new favorite show, and even trying out special themed treats in Disney Springs. And once again this week, Amorette’s Patisserie has released a WandaVision cake, but there’s something peculiar about this one!

WARNING: This article will contain spoilers from WandaVision up until this point, including episode 7. You have been warned!

The cake was announced on the Disney Springs Twitter account today, and it will be available at Amorette’s Patisserie while supplies last. Make sure to take a GOOD look at the photo on the cake…

But here’s the thing…that picture isn’t from any episode we’ve seen so far. In fact, our team had a pretty thorough discussion about it! We all agreed that this cake couldn’t be from the latest episode, because as one of our team members put it, “they definitely weren’t together at all this week.” Wanda and Vision spend the whole episode apart from each other, so this has to be a picture from a different week.

Wanda’s hair is one of the best clues here because her style has been changing every week. (Seriously girl, we need the deets on your stylist!) That straight hair was what led another team member to say, “It almost looks like it could be from the 70s tho??” Another person joined that side of the argument, “her hair is giving me 70s vibes. I agree.”

We thought we’d figured it out, but then we did a little more Google research and were sorely disappointed. Two of our writers jumped in the thread with their research, sharing “Her sleeves are stripey in the 70s, so I don’t think that’s it” and “Her 70s shirt was like red with a ton of other colors.” Looks like we’re back to square one. ☹

Okay, so if it’s not the 70s, and it’s not from this week or any other week…then this HAS to be a picture from an upcoming episode! It wouldn’t be the first time that the petite cake hasn’t been timed properly with that week’s show. One person reminded us that released an 80s cake the week that the episode aired from outside the hex, saying “so really Jimmy Woo should’ve been on the cake.” That comment sparked a 5-minute conversation on how great a Jimmy Woo cake would be, considering “Him and that card trick, that’s a true love story.”

©Disney | Agent Woo FINALLY masters the card trick!

After our Jimmy Woo detour, we realized that this cake might be spoiling something for future episodes, but what is there to spoil, really? Wanda and Vision stare into each other’s eyes on next week’s episode? That’s not exactly earth-shattering news! We suppose this proves that both characters are alive for the next episode. Or at least, not any MORE dead than they currently are. (We’re looking at you, Vision!)

©Disney | We’re not gonna lie…this was SUPER creepy.

Even though the cake doesn’t reveal any major information, we’re definitely excited to have more WandaVision treats in Disney World! Hurry and pick one up if you’re interested, and stay tuned to DFB for the latest news on Disney+’s hottest show! (And seriously…where is our Jimmy Woo cake??)
