We’ve previously covered water bottle refilling stations at Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. To finish up this series, we’re covering water bottle filling stations at Magic Kingdom — sort of.

Because Magic Kingdom is the oldest of the four theme parks, and because the rise in use of reusable water bottles has been a fairly new occurrence, you’ll find that refilling water bottles at Magic Kingdom isn’t all that easy. Sure, you can go to any quick service location and ask for a cup of ice water, but if your goal is to avoid using a cup for environmental reasons, we’ve got some bad news for you.

There’s only one location that we could find with a water bottle refilling location — and to add insult to injury, it has been out of service for a while. It is located in Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.

Yep, that’s it. Why that water bottle filling station is not available but other ones around property are is a mystery. If there’s anyone from Disney who can weigh in on that — or perhaps find a way to make it safe like the other units — that would be wonderful!

In the meantime, we’ll just hope that as things are renovated around Walt Disney World that we’ll see more of these water bottle filling stations pop up. I truly feel that they’re a great option for an eco-friendly way to stay hydrated in the parks.
