It’s been almost one year since Disney World’s water parks closed, but Blizzard Beach is readying to reopen on March 7!
We already know how to buy tickets, the park hours for March, and what the mask requirements will be, and now we know a little bit about what the Blizzard Beach experience will be.
Yep, we have FOOD MENUS! And, boy, have there been some CHANGES. Here’s a look at each dining spot and what you can expect.
Avalunch
Avalunch has traditionally sold hot dogs and they’re getting a new frank on the menu: a Sauerkraut Mustard 1/4 lb. All-Beef Hot Dog! This classic combo joins Bacon Macaroni & Cheese and Chili-Cheese Frito hot dogs. The Sauerkraut Mustard hot dog will be $10.99.
There’s also a menu SWAP taking place. The Loaded Beef Nachos Served with Beef Chili, Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Guacamole, Sour Cream, and Jalapeño are gone. And they have been replaced with a Nacho 1/4 lb All-Beef Hot Dog! Nachos and a hot dog?! Why not? You can try this Franken-food for $10.99. An Italian Sandwich has also been added. We don’t have details on what will be in this Italian sandwich, but we do know it’ll be served with chips and cost $9.99.
There’s also a noticeable change in the fountain drinks. The All-Day Refillable Mug used to be for for refills at self-service beverage islands at quick-service spots, but Disney has REMOVED the self-service language, presumably due to new health and safety measures. However, refillable mugs will still be available for $11.99.
Another big change is that the Kids’ Meals, which are either a Turkey Sandwich for $9.49 or Macaroni & Cheese for $9.19 no longer come with a Sand Pail and Shovel.
So be sure to bring your own beach toys!
Warming Hut
If Avalunch is standard theme park fare, you can find some more interesting bites at Warming Hut, another quick service spot. In the past, we’ve spotted edible cookie dough or a a BBQ chip covered Turkey Leg here!
The cookie dough hasn’t been around for a second, but that chip-crusted turkey leg remains! The Shrimp Louie Wrap is gone, however, and has been replaced with a Chilled Shrimp Salad served with Thousand Island Dressing for $11.49! A Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich With Pickles also joins the lineup, and that will cost $10.49.
We’re SO excited to slide down some slides, take in the scenery, and of course, EAT while at Blizzard Beach when it reopens. And when it does, you KNOW we’ll be there to let you know how everything is!
