Sometimes you just need to escape to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It’s a popular spot for our field team to take a break at when they’re at the Magic Kingdom on a hot day. Such was the case earlier this week for both Chrissy and Ivonne. Here’s what each of them saw during their individual visits to this beloved resort.
Right now the Great Ceremonial House is under major construction out front. The exterior of this iconic building is getting a makeover. Currently the Resort Monorail does not stop at this resort.
The inside of the Great Ceremonial House is not disturbed by the construction all that much. The BouTiki merchandise shop on the first floor is one of my favorite shops in all of Walt Disney World. The name is adorable, the display window at the shop’s entrance is neat, and it is so much fun to see if people spot the two tikis playing hide and seek near one of the registers.
Chrissy spotted some great merchandise featuring The Enchanted Tiki Room, the Orange Bird, and Olu the Sea Turtle who hails from Disney’s Aulani Resort.
While at the Poly, Chrissy ordered lunch via mobile order at Kona Café. We’ll have a review of this great looking meal coming up soon.
