PHOTOS: Signs Remind Guests What Masks Are Not Allowed in Disney World

If you’re traveling to Disney World, everyone in your party ages 2 and up will be required to wear a face mask.

But, with SO many different designs and even different types of face masks out there, you might have trouble deciding which ones you want to get and use during your vacation. Well, you’ll have a lot of options to pick from, but some masks are absolutely NOT allowed in Disney World. And now Disney has some new signs in place to make sure you’re fully aware of these policies.

You can see Disney’s full face mask policy online. In terms of masks that are NOT allowed, Disney’s website says, “At this time, based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas and face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings.” And now there are new signs in Disney World reminding guests of this.

Face Mask Signs

We found the signs in Disney Springs at one of the parking garages there. The big sign outlined in blue shows the 4 main types of masks that are not allowed.

We also found smaller signage next to this adorable Minnie also displaying these rules.

More signs also indicated the requirements that face coverings must meet to be allowed in Disney World (for example, they must be made with at least two layers of breathable material), and again the signs showed the types of masks that are not allowed.

Other health and safety signage was nearby regarding temperature screenings and a COVID-19 warning.

We expect these signs will also make their way over to the parks and other areas on property.
