2 New Disney World Additions Require You To Seriously Plan Ahead!

It’s no secret that Disney trips require some serious planning.

Cinderella Castle

Between finding a hotel, buying tickets, and figuring out dining, there’s a LOT that goes into a Disney vacation! But with adjusted operations due to the ongoing pandemic, there are a couple parts of your trip that need even MORE planning than usual. So if you’re planning on checking these 2 things off your Disney bucket list, you’d better get preppin’!

Going to Gideon’s Bakehouse

Gideon’s Bakehouse opened in Disney Springs at the beginning of 2021, and it’s already made a statement with its cookies, cakes, and coffee. In fact, this dessert spot is so popular that people wait HOURS just to step inside the double doors and get a taste.

If you want to stop by Gideon’s on your Disney vacation, you’ll need to plan ahead! You’ll have to head over to Disney Springs to join the virtual queue in person. Be sure to leave plenty of time in your day — when Gideon’s first opened, the wait time was over 11 HOURS. Luckily, it’s a little shorter now. You should be good to go in just a couple of hours! And while you wait, you can walk around Disney Springs and explore the shopping and entertainment.

Gideon’s Line

Once you get the text notification, head back to Gideon’s and get in a (significantly shorter) line to walk inside. Then grab your sweet treats and ENJOY!

Here’s How to Get Gideon’s Cookies WITHOUT the Wait!

Visiting Disney World on Its Anniversary

October 1st, 2021 is Disney World’s 50th anniversary! There are already plans in place for a celebration that involves mini-transformations of the park icons, new costumes for Mickey and Minnie, and more! And as you can imagine, Park Pass reservations for this day are pretty slim pickings.

Magic Kingdom is already booked for the day — but Park Pass reservations may be refilled! Just a little bit ago, Annual Passholder and Resort Guest passes were added for October 1st (and then quickly snatched up). Keep an eye on the calendar, as things are constantly changing. There are still a few months, meaning there is plenty of time for more reservations to potentially open up. You will want to keep a close eye on the calendar and on DFB for big updates.

EPCOT’s shapin’ up to look pretty busy on October 1st, too. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is opening in the newly-expanded France Pavilion!

The new La Creperie de Paris restaurant is opening that day as well. And it happens to be EPCOT’s birthday as well.

La Crêperie de Paris

Just this morning, park passes had filled up for Annual Passholders on this date and we’re expecting that Resort Guests and Theme Park Ticket Guest reservations will fill up soon. So if you were planning to go on October 1 but just haven’t made that final decision yet, the time is now.

The same really goes for all of October. Since so many things highly anticipated things are opening and since Disney World is celebrating such a monumental anniversary, we expect that park passes for the month could look something like March. For example, March 13 – 19 is at capacity for all guests. So we really suggest planning ahead and booking those park passes early!
