NEWS: Three Major Airlines Make it Easier to Travel to Orlando

Spring break has seen a surge in travelers to Disney World, and Florida in general, and the TSA just recorded the highest number of passenger screenings in nearly a year.

As more and more people return to travel, more airlines are adding direct flights to Orlando International Airport!

At the start of the pandemic, the airline industry all but came to a screeching halt. As did theme parks, movie theaters, restaurants, you name it. But as air travel makes a comeback and more guests visit Disney World and other Orlando attractions, 3 major airlines have decided to add more flights according to the Orlando Business Journal.

After recently seeing Frontier Airlines resuming more flights to OrlandoSouthwest Airlines, which is the busiest airline at Orlando International Airport, is adding more frequent flights to the Florida city, in addition to adding direct flights from Milwaukee to Sarasota, and increasing its flights to Fort Lauderdale.

These additions for Southwest are slated to start April 12.

Another busy airline for the Orlando airport is American Airlines, which announced it will add daily direct flights from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Then there’s Spirit Airlines, the second busiest airline in Orlando, and they’re doubling down on their Orlando flights this year!

Spirit announced they’ll add direct flights to Orlando from Milwaukee starting in June, plus flights from St. Louis and Louisville starting May 27!

In fact, Spirit is so focused on Orlando that they’re increasing operations at the airport and moving part of their control center from South Florida to Orlando in June.
