Disney World Limits How Many People Can Stand on a Distancing Marker

Disney is constantly adjusting its safety policies and procedures.

Minnie Mouse knows the importance of a comfortable face covering!

Recently, it updated its mask guidelines and specified that guests who received the COVID-19 vaccine will still need to wear a face covering on property. But we recently noticed an important change in the parks that could impact how you social distance.

Currently, Disney has social distancing markers spaced at least 6 feet apart for groups to stand on while they wait in lines. Previously, they’ve stated that guests in parties of more than 10 will need to split into smaller groups on these markers and elsewhere in the parks to allow for social distancing. Now, though, people will need to get into even smaller groups.

A new social distancing policy has arrived!

We spotted a new social distancing policy on trash cans near ride lines, stating that no more than 4 guests could stand on each social distancing marker. When we’ve been out in the parks, we’ve noticed that it’s been tricky fitting larger groups on a single “Please stand here” line, so this change may assist with that.

Parties of more than 4 must now split up onto separate social distancing markers.

Next time you’re out and about in Disney World with a large crew, make sure you split into groups of 4 to wait in lines! We’ll keep you posted with more Disney updates, so stay tuned to DFB.
