Disney’s Animal Kingdom is full of unique attractions.
From big thrills to slow-moving boat cruises, it seems like this park has something for everyone! But we wondered just how popular some of Animal Kingdom’s most CLASSIC attractions actually were. So we asked our followers on Instagram to rank EVERY ride in the park by deciding if they were overrated or underrated! And guys, some of the results shocked us. Let’s take a look!
7. TriceraTop Spin
Okay, it probably doesn’t surprise you that TriceraTop Spin is at the bottom of our list. In fact, 65% of our DFB readers voted that this ride was overrated!
This Dumbo-like ride in Dinoland U.S.A. takes guests in slow circles aboard their very own triceratops. And while it may be fun for little ones, it’s probably not a must-do for those into more thrilling attractions.
6. Na’vi River Journey
Another slow ride ranks near the bottom! 57% of DFB readers voted that Na’vi River Journey was underrated. At least it scored significantly higher than TriceraTop Spin!
Again, this boat ride is low on the thrills — think on the level of “it’s a small world” — but it features some pretty advanced technology! The Shaman of Song animatronic that serenades guests is SERIOUSLY impressive. If you hop aboard this ride, keep an eye out for this marvel.
5. Kali River Rapids
58% of DFB readers voted that Kali River Rapids was underrated! We totally get why it may not be at the top of Animal Kingdom’s must-do list — after all, not everyone’s a fan of getting soaked on a water ride. But go for a spin with family or friends and you’re sure to have a few laughs!
The ride is currently closed for its winter refurbishment, so if you’re heading to Animal Kingdom before April 1st, 2021, you’re gonna have to miss out!
4. Dinosaur
This attraction can be SCARY, people. But apparently, DFB readers are fans: 68% of you voted that Dinosaur was underrated!
Hop aboard a Time Rover and get thrown (literally) into the age of the dinosaurs. Make sure to say hi to Dr. Seeker on your way to your adventure! You’ll encounter some terrifying dinosaurs on your search for the elusive Iguanodon…and hopefully, make it back to the present a-okay.
3. Flight of Passage
One of Animal Kingdom’s newest attractions, Flight of Passage is INSANELY popular. It tends to rack up some of the longest lines in the park! In fact, 89% of DFB readers voted that it was underrated.
Keep in mind that this 3D ride is not for those with a weak stomach: you’ll twist, turn, and dip as you ride atop a banshee (you’re ACTUALLY sitting on a bike-like Link Chair). In this breathtaking experience, you’ll get to smell, touch, and see everything Pandora has to offer!
2. Expedition Everest
A whopping 93% of DFB readers voted that Expedition Everest was underrated. That’s a SERIOUS fan base for this Animal Kingdom coaster!
Guests board a train through the Himalayas and have an unfortunate run-in with the Yeti. This ride’s definitely not for everyone: you’ll encounter some pretty big thrills!
1. Kilimanjaro Safaris
Kilimanjaro Safaris ranks #1 out of Disney’s Animal Kingdom attractions, and we could NOT agree more. 94% of DFB readers thought this ride was underrated!
This attraction is fun for the whole family — there’s no height requirement, so little ones are free to ride! Plus, it embodies what Animal Kingdom is all about. Guests set out onto the Harambe Wildlife Reserve in a truck to observe giraffes, hippos, elephants, lions, and more!
Moral of the story: no matter what kind of ride you’re into, you’re bound to find something you love at Animal Kingdom. Do you agree with these rankings? Let us know! As always, we’ll keep bringing you the latest Disney news and updates, so stay tuned to DFB. And keep checking our Instagram for more polls!
