What’s New in EPCOT: A Scavenger Hunt with a Prize and a Restaurant Reopens

Welcome back to EPCOT!

Spaceship Earth

We’ve been enjoying the Flower and Garden Festival, ringing in spring, and closely following all the construction around the park. But let’s check out what else is new!

EPCOT Food Updates

Rose and Crown Dining Room

Rose and Crown Dining Room reopened on March 21st after a quick refurbishment. It remains one of our favorite table-service spots for a nice ‘n’ hearty meal!

Rose and Crown Dining Room has reopened!

We enjoyed Fish and Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, Mushy Peas, Sticky Toffee Pudding, and more.

Boy did it feel good to be back!

EPCOT Merchandise Updates

Mitsukoshi Department Store

While we were browsing the Mitsukoshi Department Store in the Japan Pavilion, we spotted some cute wax sachets! They were cherry and sakura scented.

Wax Satchets!

Each one was $10.95! We loved the flowery smells, so if you’re lookin’ for something soft and fresh, you may want to stop by!

Port of Entry / Mouse Gear

We’ve seen a TON of Flower and Garden Festival gear already this year, but Disney’s not done just yet. In Port of Entry and Mouse Gear, we spotted some new gardening gloves!

Gardening Gloves!

Minnie Mouse looks hard at work (but still as fashionable as ever) on the flowery print.

Hey there, Minnie!

A pair of these gloves will cost ya $12.99!

EPCOT Construction Updates

We’ve been closely following the construction on Harmonious, EPCOT’s brand-new nighttime show (We even saw water effects being tested!). Between the fireworks, choreographed fountains, and lasers, it’s shapin’ up to be quite the spectacular. Most recently, we noticed that one of the barge’s arms was raised up high!

We’re seein’ lots of progress on Harmonious recently!

Disney hasn’t announced WHEN Harmonious will debut, but we’ll let you know as soon as they do!

Here’s What We Know About Harmonious’ Debut!

EPCOT Additional Updates

Disney’s been celebrating Easter all around property! And in EPCOT, you can participate in the Eggs-trvaganza, an Easter egg hunt around World Showcase. You can purchase your map for $7.99 at Mouse Gear, Disney Traders, or World Traveler to get started!

Then, have fun spotting each character around World Showcase! You’ll run into eggs themed after Pluto

The scavenger hunt is a great way to celebrate spring in EPCOT — and you’ll get that keepsake to remember the fun!

We spotted a few characters out and about in the park, too! Mary Poppins was greeting guests in the United Kingdom Pavilion…

Practically perfect!

…while Anna was chillin’ over in the Norway Pavilion.

Hi, Anna!

We also managed to spot the princess cavalcade from afar as the royals paraded by!

If you squint, you can see ’em!

And in the category of things we WEREN’T expecting in EPCOT…we saw a filming crew in front of the Lion King topiary! Check out that fancy gear.

Filming crew!

It seemed like regular guests approached the crew at random to get their pictures taken. We’ll keep ya posted if we figure out why this mysterious work was taking place!

They’re hard at work!

Okay, we’ve shown you how the miniature village in the Germany Pavilion gets decked out for various EPCOT festivals. It already got its Flower and Garden Festival makeover…but we noticed a new addition! Yup, that’s a teeny tiny maypole!

Looks like this tiny village may be doing some dancing!

And speaking of all things tiny…we noticed some mini dinos in the Prehistoric Garden in Future World West. Among all the prehistoric plants, you might spot one of these little guys!

So many little dinos!

You can go on a dinosaur scavenger hunt next time you’re there!

Well, that’s all for our trip around EPCOT! We’ll be in the parks every day staying on top of everything new. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney updates!
