Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

And, we’ve got plenty of updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Food Updates

Isle of Java

We hope you’re thirsty after a long day of exploring Disney’s Animal Kingdom because the Isle of Java has TWO new animal-inspired drinks!

Here’s a Look at 2 Specialty Drinks You Can Get at Isle of Java

The menu is now host to the Cotton Top Lagoon Cocktail, mixed up with a frozen blend of blue raspberry and lemonade and topped with a wave of cotton candy

Ready for a Super Sweet Treat?!

…which was MEGA sweet…

Check out our review of the Cotton Top Lagoon Cocktail here!

…and the Red Crowned Crane Cocktail with frozen Coke and frozen Cherry Coke topped with strawberry cotton candy with or without rum.

Red Crowned Crane

The drinks cost $5.49 on their own and $12.50 with the rum add-in.

Here’s our review of the Red Crowned Crane Cocktail!

Restaurantosaurus Lounge

Plus, you can head over to Restaurantosaurus for another themed cocktail after the ocean in honor of Earth Day! The Crave the Wave Cocktail has Snow Leopard vodka, Bols Blue Curaçao, and Minute Maid Premium Lemonade

So Insta-Worthy!

…that makes a great balance of tangy, tart, and sweet for $14.

Take a look at our Crave the Wave review here!

Santu’li Canteen

Kiwi is a pretty rare flavor to find in Disney World. So, when we saw that Satu’li Canteen was mixing up a brand new Kiwi Margarita, we knew we had to try it! The drink is made with Corazón Blanco Single Estate Tequila, Sweet-and-Sour, Lime Juice, and Kiwi as slices of Kiwi float around for the aesthetic.

It matches the plants!

If you love EXTRA sweet drinks, the $12 Kiwi Margarita is definitely the choice for you. But, you might want to opt for a stronger pick if you prefer a stronger flavor in a cocktail!

Windtraders

As we hopped around Pandora, we visited Windtraders to check out everything new in the store. And, we noticed that the Trail Mix had been restocked on the shelves.

Windtraders

But, there are STILL more snacks we have to tell you about!

Anandapur Ice Cream Truck

We’re calling all Expedition Everest fans! Anandapur Ice Cream Truck has a NEW soft-serve swirling up in Disney’s Animal Kingdom inspired by our favorite non-moving animatronic. The Yeti Sundae is a chocolate soft-serve topped with vanilla soft-serve, blue cake crumbs, blue sugar, snowflake sprinkles, and a little chocolate Yeti topper.

Yeti Sundae

While the blue colors POP against all of Animal Kingdom’s greenery, the flavors blended so well together with the combination of vanilla, chocolate, and cake for $5.49.

Take a look at our full review of the Yeti Sundae here!

Thirsty River Bar

During your trip to Expedition Everest, you can also enjoy the Everest Base Camp Macaroon at the Thirsty River Bar! The treat comes with THREE chocolate and coconut macaroons covered with a “snowcap” of white chocolate and a flurry of snowflake sprinkles on a base of green tea chocolate crumbs.

Everest Base Camp Macaroon

The shareable treat may not be the cutest, but the flavors are smooth with the chocolate and coconut with a pop of flavor from the green tea for $5.99.

Dawa Bar

We’ve had plenty of sweet cocktails in Disney World, but now we’re taking a trip on the wild side with a spicier sip. And, the Lion’s Fury at Dawa Bar is a red hot boozy punch made of Red Stag Cherry Whiskey, Tropical Jungle Juice, a float of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey, and a Glow Cube.

Lion’s Fury

The cherry and Fireball flavors were the primary flavors in this cocktail as the Jungle Juice added a bit of fruitiness and sweetness to the drink for $16.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update

Discovery Trading Company

When we popped into the Discovery Trading Company, we noticed that the Annual Passholder Minnie Ears were still available behind the counter.

Annual Passholder Ears

You can snag the blue, gold, and pink ears for $29.99.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Entertainment Update

Dinoland U.S.A.

We LOVE the little details in Disney World! And, we can’t help but adore the fact that the Cast Members were carrying around trash grabbers with dinosaur toys all over them!

Dinosaur Trash Grabber

Just look at how cute they are!!!

Dinosaur Trash Grabber

Oh, Disney, you never miss a beat.

Discovery Island Stage

In honor of Earth Month, we’ve been waiting for the grand debut of the Secrets of the Whales to come to Disney+ on April 22nd. Although you won’t be able to watch the National Geographic series produced by James Cameron and narrated by Sigourney Weaver until the end of the month, you can spot the NEW Whale Sand Sculptures in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Secrets of the Whales premieres on April 22nd

Previously, we saw artists turn a 40-ton pile of sand into a Raya and the Last Dragon sculptureBut, now the Discovery Island Stage is home to the latest sculpture celebrating the arrival of the nature film!

Whales!

And, we can’t wait to watch it for ourselves at the end of the month when it debuts!

Check out all the details on the Whale Sand Sculptures here!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Crowd Update

The crowds were a bit lower in the parks on some days early in the morning before they picked up later in the afternoon around 2PM during Easter weekend!
