This Gives Us Hope That Disneyland Might Not Sell Out in 5 Minutes

We’ve got even more Disneyland news coming in for our California friends! As that April 30th reopening gets closer, we’re learning more and more details about what the parks will be like!

Today, ticket prices were released for Disneyland, as well as reports of some news that might make it easier for more people to book a park reservation on popular days!

In case you missed it, Disney dropped a HUGE piece of news this week: Avengers Campus got an official opening date!

But with that came questions: would people who didn’t have pre-closure tickets even have the chance to book a reservation for the opening day and the grand opening of Avengers Campus before reservations were completely booked?

According to a report today from the Orange County Register, the answer is yes! They stated, “The two most popular dates on the Disneyland calendar will be April 30, when the parks reopen, and June 4, when Avengers Campus debuts at DCA. Disneyland will hold back a certain amount of ticket inventory for April 30 and June 4 so those with unused tickets don’t scoop up all the available reservation spots before those purchasing new tickets get a chance to make a reservation. No reservation dates are expected to be “sold out” by the time tickets go on sale April 15.”

Now, we want to note that we have not seen this language reflected on the Disneyland website just yet, but hopefully, this will be the situation.

As we previously shared, this has been a concern, especially for previous Annual Passholders, due to the way Disneyland is handing reservations and ticket release dates for those who did not have leftover tickets from pre-closure Disneyland. You can read all about ticket and reservation release dates here.

This is exciting and hopefully pans out in practice when reservations open up later this month. If you’re hoping to be in the park for the premiere of Avengers Campus or on reopening, hopefully, this is good news and can ease your mind just a bit. We’re pretty sure that one way or another, that April 30th and June 4th park reservations are going to go FAST, so make sure you stay tuned for when they go live!
