There’s a New Way to Get Last-Minute Dining Reservations at Disneyland Resort!

When the Disney World parks reopened, we saw a LOT of changes and updates, and we expect the same thing for Disneyland Resort’s reopening.

We can’t wait to be back!

There will be new health and safety measures, capacity limits, a new reservation system, and several rides, attractions, and restaurants that won’t be reopening yet. Things are certainly going to be different, but that’s not always a bad thing. In fact, we’re pretty excited about one new feature that’s coming to the parks in particular!

When Disney World reopened last year, the parks and resorts introduced the Mobile Walk-Up Waitlist feature. It’s a great way to score a meal at a table service restaurant if you didn’t get to make dining reservations! And now, Walk-Up Waitlist is going to be available at select Disneyland Resort restaurants as well.

Carthay Circle — Alfresco Dining will have the new feature!

With the new feature, you’ll be able to check dining availability right in the Disneyland app, or by walking up to the restaurant of your choice and scanning the QR code located near the entrance — no need to visit the host stand. If there’s walk-up availability at that time, you’ll be able to select your party and provide any dietary restrictions. Then, you just wait to be called back!

Look for this Walk-Up Waitlist sign!

According to Disneyland Resort’s website, this new feature is available at Carthay Circle Lounge — Alfresco Dining and Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure. We’ll make sure to keep you updated if it comes to any other restaurants, including those in the resorts or at Disneyland Park.

You might be able to score a last-minute spot at Lamplight Lounge!

It’s important to note that walk-up availability changes throughout the day, so keep checking back if you can’t find anything at first. If you don’t have any luck throughout the day, there are several quick service options available around the resort, or you may be able to make a last-minute reservation at another table service spot!

If you can’t get a reservation, check out some of the other locations around.

Stay tuned to DFB for more information about Disneyland Resort’s reopening, and especially all the details on dining in the Disney theme parks! We’ve got you covered with the latest and greatest news.
