Don’t Forget Your Proof of Residency When Visiting Disneyland Resort

We are in the final countdown until the reopening of Disneyland Resort and we’re just a little (okay, very) excited!

You’ll be here SOON!

With all the updates on what restaurants and rides will reopen with the parks, when you’ll be able to secure a boarding group for Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, and everything else Disneyland has announced, it can be easy to forget the simpler things. But there’s one thing that could bring your Disneyland plans to a halt if you forget…

…and that’s proof of California residency. Disneyland Resort is only opening for California residents as of right now, so those who have secured both a valid theme park ticket and a park pass reservation, also need to remember to bring proof of California residency. Today Disney shared, “Also, be sure you have proof of California residency with you as only California residents may visit the parks at this time. You may be asked to show such proof of residency, as necessary.” So be sure you’ve got it!

Other things to do before you head out to your first day back in Disneyland is to download the Disneyland app, check in to your room if you’re staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and be prepared to secure your boarding group for Rise of the Resistance at 7AM if you have a park pass for Disneyland park.

Get ready to snag your boarding group BEFORE you leave for the park!

So, pack your bags and be sure you have proof of California residency with you so that you don’t get stuck at the gate because there are lots of rides, restaurants, and characters awaiting your return! We’ll continue to bring you the latest Disneyland news and updates that you need and, of course, check back with us Friday and follow along during the grand reopening day!
