This is a HUGE year for Disney World. The resort turns 50 years old!!! And there’s going to be a massive celebration starting in October and lasting through 2023. Now THAT’S a party!
Is something different here?
And that means that a lot of Disney World, including Magic Kingdom, is getting refreshed and updated. The Castle got a brand new paint job and some seriously glammed-up decor. Fantasyland is getting a golden touch-up. Even the gift shop Bonjour Village Gifts got a facelift! But there’s probably one update you may have not yet noticed at Magic Kingdom — maybe because it requires you to look up.
But if you do, you might notice something — the windows are looking a lot more spiffy on Main Street, U.S.A.

They’ve received some touch-ups and some of the windows have new little details!

In fact, the windows almost look new again! So bold and bright.

And it’s such a small detail that we felt the need to point it out — the windows often get overlooked as it is (and really, they shouldn’t be).
