We’ve seen lots of policy changes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As states are moving towards reopening, there have been shifts in CDC guidance and other rule changes. Recently, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis passed an executive order suspending all local COVID-19 restrictions. And now, he’s signed another bill that will impact the state post-pandemic.
When restaurants’ indoor seating closed last year, they were permitted to sell alcohol to-go in order to sustain their sales. Since then, no restrictions have been put back in place to ban these sales.
And today, DeSantis signed a bill that allows Florida restaurants to permanently sell cocktails with delivery and take-out orders. He explained, “It worked well, people liked it, there was a good response, so we said this should be something that we just make permanent.”
So if you’re placing a to-go order in Florida, keep in mind that you WILL be able to continue ordering booze. We’ll keep you posted with more updates that could affect your Disney vacation, so stay tuned to DFB!
