7 Disney Recipes We’ve Actually Made at Home!

Can’t get into the parks?

Tree of Life

If you want a little taste of Disney from home, you may want to whip up some classic Disney recipes! Now, we share TONS of recipes with ya, inspired by characters, parks, and holidays. But today, we’re sharing some tried-and-true dishes that we’ve made ourselves. Yup — we’ve tested ’em out and you’ve got to make them, too.

So let’s get started!

Original Carrot Cake Cookie Sandwich from Writer’s Stop

Remember our beloved Carrot Cake Cookie Sandwich from the Trolley Car Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Turns out, it has a LONG history — it originated at the now-closed Writer’s Stop! And while the Trolly Car Cafe version isn’t that same classic recipe (womp, womp), we’ve got the OG for ya right here.

Carrot Cake Cookie Sandwiches

This super easy recipe uses cake mix (yup, we said it), but it tastes JUST like the original. 😉 Try it for yourself and enjoy!

Cinnamon Rolls from Main Street Bakery

For another classic treat, how about those cinnamon rolls from Main Street Bakery?! Now, this snack isn’t around anymore — although you can find a similar version at Gaston’s Tavern — but it’s SO good that we still whip it up at home.

Adding the frosting!

We’ve also got some top-secret DFB tips (including handy ingredient substitutions) to make these even tastier than the recipe. They make the perfect breakfast (or late-night snack — whatever floats your boat!).

Tonga Toast from Kona Cafe

If you want more carb-y goodness, you can recreate the Tonga Toast from Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. This is one of our FAVORITE Disney World eats and is an absolute must-try — so we’re breakin’ down how you can make it at home!

Num Num Cookies from Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If you’ve been to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, chances are you’ve heard of (or tried!) a Num Num Cookie. You can snag one of these at The Market — or you can use our copycat recipe to enjoy them whenever you want at home (that means unlimited Num Num Cookies!).

DIY Num Num Cookies!

These cookies are fun and easy. And we even tell you how to get those cute little wrappers (and how to add SALT to make ’em taste even better!).

Key Lime Pie from Olivia’s Cafe

Time for a Florida staple! The Key Lime Pie at Olivia’s Cafe (that’s at Disney’s Old Key West Resort!) is a super simple recipe. You only need 3 ingredients for the pie filling! And usual, we’ve got some DFB tips for ya (like where to find Key lime juice at your local grocery store) to help you along the way.

It’s a DIY Key Lime Pie!

Serve it chilled (after all, that’s the only real way to eat it) and enjoy, friends!

Mickey Beignets from Disneyland Resort

Now, how about some Mickey Beignets?! You can’t get much more iconic than these fluffy, sweet, mouse-shaped treats. And if you’re far from Disneyland (and can’t enjoy them at the currently-closed Disney’s Port Orleans Resort), we’ve got the answer: a RECIPE!

We’re makin’ BEIGNETS!

You’ll be able to make 10 jumbo beignets or 2 dozen little ones. That’s plenty to share! Don’t mind us — we’ll just be makin’ these every single day.

Walt’s Chili and Beans from Carnation Cafe

Last but not least, we’re making Walt’s Chili and Beans from Carnation Cafe! This is the official Disneyland recipe, but don’t worry — we’ve included plenty of our own helpful notes for ya.

Walt’s Chili

When you’re all finished, you’ll enjoy a tasty mix of tomatoes, chili powder, garlic, onion, and more. After all, what better way to wrap things up than with a recipe by Walt himself?!
