Here at DFB, we’re typically trying to help you save money as you’re booking your hotels, buying your tickets, or even just grabbing merchandise all around Disney World. Just your “regular” perfectly ordinary Disney World trip can be incredibly expensive.

But, every now and then it’s fun to dream, right?! So, today we’re looking at what could be the MOST EXPENSIVE trip to Disney World. We’re talking VIP tours, the hotel rooms of your dreams, and all kinds of extras that would blow any ordinary budget, but will not be an issue for our imaginary UNLIMITED Disney World trip budget. Grab your (imaginary) wallets and let’s get spending!!

We’re gonna break down all the big-ticket options for you BUT, some ground rules for our calculations. We tried to approach our final number looking at a REAL date and what’s currently available. So basically if you tried to go book this trip right this very minute, what you would find. Not everything is available currently, limiting our options somewhat. We’re approaching our final number as realistically as possible. If a fictional person were to want to book one day at Disney World on December 29th this year and really go all out (without dipping into the REALLY special pricey add-ons) what would it cost? That means tickets, hotel, three meals a day, and a few other realistic extras. Let’s see what we found.

Tickets

The price of your Disney World tickets will depend on when you decide to visit Disney World. Disney tickets are priced by date which means the higher demand the day, the more expensive the ticket. Whether the days you’ll be visiting fall into a higher demand day (and thus higher price bracket) or lower demand day (and thus lower price bracket) can also vary from year to year, as we saw when we looked at the 2022 ticket prices.

In terms of what ticket to buy, the Park Hopper Plus option is the highest on the scale (an Annual Pass would technically be more expensive as a single purchase but those are unavailable to purchase at the moment).

With the Park Hopper Plus, you get access to Park Hopping around all 4 Disney theme parks (depending on availability under the modified system). Plus, you can get a certain number of visits (tied to the length of your tickets) to one of the following: Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (temporarily closed), the NBA Experience (temporarily closed), Wide World of Sports Complex (temporarily closed), Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course — Footgolf, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, Fantasia Gardens mini golf course, or Winter Summerland mini golf course.

This is the most expensive ticket type, starting at $194 per day for a 1-day ticket. And again, that price will depend on the days you go. For this example, we’ll pick one of the highest days in the calendar, right around New Year’s Eve. We’ll say we’re going on December 29th. A 1-day Park Hopper Plus ticket for that day will cost you a whopping $244!

That’s a LOT of cash for just a single ticket, and we’re just getting started!

Hotel

There are a lot of different hotel options all around Disney World, so for our example, we’ll be sticking just to the Disney-owned and operated hotels. Not all of the resorts showed availability for December 29th, but based on what we did see on the Disney website at the moment, it seems a stay at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort might be just what you need for the most expensive trip ever!

During the time we looked, a 1-night stay in a 2-bedroom suite in the Yacht Club was priced at a cool $3,170!

Just keep in mind that again pricing will depend on when you visit these hotels. Since we’re booking on a popular date, a lot of rooms are currently listing as unavailable. This just happens to be the priciest room option for the date we selected. Some hotel rooms in Disney World can be even MORE expensive. The bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort can go all the way up to $4,976 a night!

Meals

Breakfast

Alright, now it’s time to start our day with some breakfast. But, since we’re on an unlimited budget we’re going ALL out with a character breakfast meal. For this, we can head to Topolino’s Terrace, Hollywood & Vine Restaurant, or Chef Mickey’s and grab breakfast with our Disney pals for about $42 per adult. You can always make that more expensive by adding on a breakfast cocktail.

Since we can’t Park Hop until 2PM and we want to grab lunch in Magic Kingdom (you’ll see why in a moment), we’ll probably head to Chef Mickey’s or Topolino’s Terrace.

You can find an even more expensive breakfast option over at Ravello in the Four Seasons at Walt Disney World when they offer their Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and Pals. That’s priced at $48 per adult, but is only available on Saturdays.

Lunch

After breakfast, it’s time to head into the parks for some fun. We have some expensive items that we’ll be partaking in during this time (more on this in a minute), but first we’ve got to talk about lunch! Now, there are a lot of ways you can make lunch anywhere in Disney World absolutely and ridiculously expensive (like by ordering the most expensive appetizer, entree, dessert, and alcoholic beverage choices).

For our day, we’re heading over to either Be Our Guest Restaurant or Cinderella’s Royal Table, which already start at a high price point — $62 per adult!

Add on an alcoholic beverage or a glass of bubbly (or maybe a whole bottle if you’re REALLY trying to take full advantage of that unlimited budget), and you could make this one ridiculously expensive meal. For example, if you grab a bottle of the Cuvée Dom Pérignon Brut, Champagne at Be Our Guest or Cinderella’s Royal Table, you’re looking at an additional $350 charge!

Talk about an expensive meal!

Dinner

When it is available, the Chef’s Table experience at Victoria & Albert’s (temporarily unavailable at the moment) is one of the most expensive dinners you can have in all of Disney World. The experience is priced at $250 per guest (although it was set to be increased at one point to $350).  You can then add on a wine pairing for $150 per guest, plus an international caviar tasting for $295. If you keep adding on more extras, you could REALLY spend some BIG $$$.

Takumi-Tei at EPCOT’s Japan pavilion would also provide for a super expensive meal if went for the omakase tasting menu, priced at $150, and added on some more options. This restaurant is temporarily closed at the moment.

Out of what is open at the time of writing this post, you can get a SUPER expensive meal at a few spots in Disney World. Over at Capa at the Four Seasons, you could get a mix of oysters, crab, shrimp, ceviche from the raw bar for $69, a Porterhouse steak (32 oz, prime) for $118, and a cheese board for dessert for $21. Add on some wines or drinks and you’ve got a $208+ meal.

Over at California Grill in Disney’s Grand Floridian Cafe you’ve got a ton of pricey options too. You can get a Spicy Kazan Roll for $29, a 20-oz Bone-In Rib-Eye Steak for $64, and a cheese board for $23. Add on some drinks (or more food) and you’re looking at a $116+ meal for one person!

You can certainly craft some expensive dinners at a whole bunch of places in Disney World, but these are some of the ones we noted were especially on the pricier side.

Snacks and Drinks

Of course, no day is complete without Disney snacks! If you grab some of those really pricey snacks or even pricey drinks in between your meals, you can keep the expensive trend going all day long!

For example, a Salted Caramel Bubble Waffle from AristoCrepes will set you back $8.99! But hey, we’ve got an unlimited budget (and an unlimited stomach capacity), right?!

Day Activities

Alright, so we’ve discussed tickets, hotel, and food. But this is the MOST expensive day ever, so we’ve got to add on some extras! If you’re really looking for some crazy expensive things, the World of Dreams Disney Tour (when available) is exactly what you need. This tour was priced at $12,000(!!!!!!!) and is incredibly customizable, allowing guests to build their “dream” day. You could even ask to tour the Cinderella Castle suite during the tour!

Some meals and snacks are included in the price (which might eliminate some of our previous calculations) but it’s still a super expensive item we had to mention.

Even just adding a regular VIP tour though will cost you a pretty penny. Prices for private VIP tours range from $425 to $750 per hour. All private VIP tours must be booked for a minimum duration of 7 hours (and can accommodate up to 10 guests) so that’s a minimum of $2,975 to $5,250!

Guests are able to fully customize what they’d like to experience on these tours, making it a great way to check off a lot of “must-dos” on your list! With no budget whatsoever, a VIP Tour could be an amazing addition to the day with potential front-of-the-line access, awesome information shared by the VIP tour guide, and more.

Night/Post-Park Day Activities

But the fun doesn’t have to end when the sun sets. There are tons of extras you could add to this single day to bump up that cost and create a truly amazing (but ridiculously expensive) Disney experience. Specialty cruises in Seven Seas Lagoon are currently unavailable, but if they were, renting the Grand 1 Yacht from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa for some fireworks viewing or just a specialty cruise around the water would be one incredible experience.

The Grand 1 Yacht experience is priced at $399 per hour, but you can also add on private dining, butler service, or other enhancements for an additional cost.

Once you’ve finished your yacht experience, you can head back to your room where more surprises await. Disney offers a variety of in-room packages through Disney Floral & Gifts. There are all kinds of celebration packages you can choose from. Some of the most expensive ones can go over $1,000!!!

There’s a “Build A Wine” basket that ranges in price from $166.97 to $1,327.97. This includes your choice of 3 bottles of wine, wine glasses or toasting flutes, and gourmet cheese, crackers, and sweets.

Merchandise

You can’t plan the most expensive day ever at Disney World without factoring in a bit of shopping! Without any budget to stick to, you could buy all of the legacy lightsaber hilts, spirit jerseys, Minnie ears, Pandora charms, Dooney & Bourke Bags, and dresses your heart desires!

Or, you could go for something absolutely ridiculously expensive like that Arribas Brothers Cinderella Castle, which is priced at $49,000!!!!!!!

With an unlimited budget, a shopping spree in Disney World doesn’t sound like a bad idea!

MORE!

Okay, so there are only so many hours in one day. We’ve already planned a super expensive day that might not be physically possible to squeeze into 24 hours (but if you try hard enough, you just might be able to do it all)!

Assuming you had enough time, there are some other pricey experiences you can have all around Disney World. You could go on the Wild Africa Trek in Animal Kingdom when available (priced between $139-249 per person) or get a luxurious spa treatment at one of the spas located at a few resorts around property.

If you’re looking to really spend some cash, you could try to join Club 33 with a reported membership price of $25,000 as a joining fee. Or, you could buy a whole HOUSE at Golden Oak, the community located on Disney World property. When we last checked, the most expensive home available (and listed on the website) was a house with 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms priced at OVER $8,000,000.00. Oh, and it has its own theater room, NBD.

We said no budget right?!

Even if you just buy the expensive ticket we mentioned at the beginning ($244), stay in the expensive hotel room ($3,170), eat at a character breakfast ($42), get an expensive lunch ($62), splurge at California Grill ($116), get a few snacks ($10), and get an expensive in-room package sent to your room (let’s stay on the cheaper side and order one for $289.99), you’d be looking at a single day in Disney World costing you $3,933.99!

Realistically you probably can’t get ALL of this done in one day, but it’s nice to dream! Obviously, all of these numbers could change depending on the hotel selected and the date visiting (along with which restaurants you pick). We left out the ultra-pricey VIP tour because we’re trying to show you a (somewhat) more realistic possible day. If you were to add on a VIP tour and an even pricier room, you could be looking at anywhere from about $2000 more all the way up to almost $7000 more! A 10k day in Disney World. Wowza… .

Unfortunately, we can’t all have an unlimited budget during our Disney trips, so we’ll continue to look for great deals and discounts that’ll help you save some cash on your tickets, hotel rooms, and more so maybe you can splurge on one or two extra experiences during your trip.
