Hello from Disney World! WHAT a month, right?
We’ve been trying to keep up with all the latest 50th-anniversary news, while also tracking all the fun snacks that keep popping up all over the parks, resorts, and at Disney Springs. And last month saw some exciting restaurant reopening news and menus, as well as saw the return of some favorite snacks!
Let’s take a look at alllllllll of the menu changes that were announced or made in June.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Tusker House Restaurant
Tusker House has officially reopened! And we got a peek at the family-style menu right before the big day. Breakfast costs $42 per adult and $27 per child.
Guests have choices that include a Pastries Basket with Safari Bread, Multigrain Croissants, and Cornbread, all served with Whipped Butter, Nutella, and Strawberry Preserves. There is also Fresh Fruit with Honey Yogurt Sauce.
There’s a Breakfast Platter which includes Potatoes, Scrambled Eggs, Mickey and Simba-Shaped Waffles, Bacon, Sausage, and Durban Chicken-Egg Curry with Jasmine Rice.
Lunch and dinner is also a family-style meal priced at $55 per adult and $42 per child.
Starters include House-Made Breads (served with Hummus, and Coriander, and Mango Chutney), as well as African-inspired salads (featuring Kachumbari and Arcadian Green Salad with Citrus Vinaigrette Dressing).
Entrees include Moroccan Spiced Beef, Spit-Roasted Herb Chicken, Cape Malay Green Curry Shrimp, and Berber Marinated Pork. A variety of sides are also available.

Eight Spoon Cafe
We noticed that hours were posted for Eight Spoon Cafe, so we showed up and got to enjoy its reopening, too! We enjoyed some of that wonderful Baked Macaroni and Cheese along with the Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork. We’re happy that both are still on the menu.
There’s something new on the menu, too — a Pulled Pork – Jelly Donut Sandwich. We’ve had this before back in 2019 with Animal Kingdom’s Tasting Sampler at The Smiling Crocodile. It’s a Pulled Pork-stuffed Jelly Donut with Slaw for $6.99. We tried it again, and you know what? We kinda’ liked it!

Golden Oak Outpost
After reopening, Golden Oak Outpost was closed and its space was used as a relaxation station. But now that the relaxation stations are gone, it looks like it might potentially reopen soon, with an updated menu. Disney World hasn’t added any hours for this location yet, but here are the menu changes:
- Chicken Breast Nuggets replaced with Chicken Strips
- Chili Cheese Waffle Fries are now just Chili Cheese Fries
- REMOVED: Loaded Onion Rings, Loaded Waffle Fries, and Chili Cheese Onion Rings
- Minute Maid Premium Lemonade and Sweet Tea Slushy increased from $5.49 to $5.99
We’re continuing to keep an eye on hours here, and if any pop up, we’ll let you know!
