Disney World is home to some of the most amazing resorts, along with the experiences you and your family will have together. Of course, listing all of the Disney Resort locations would be time consuming. That’s why we decided to head to Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort to check off another Disney bucket list staycation. This is one of our most anticipated staycations yet, we have been dreaming of staying here for years and today we are finally doing it! Continue on with us today as we share with you our stay and experience at Disney’s very own Grand Floridian Resort, where we stayed in one of their breathtaking suites.
THE GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT
Have you ever wanted to indulge yourself into the Victorian era? Well now you can, only at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. The lavish Grand Floridian offers Victorian elegance that embraces modern sophistication. Enjoy yourself at this beautiful resort as you unwind outdoors, enjoy luxurious massages and you can even watch an evening full of fireworks that light up the sky over Cinderella’s Castle. The Grand Floridian is a “deluxe” resort and is one of four types of accommodations. This property opened on June 28th, 1988, as the Grand Floridian Beach Resort. They decided to change the name to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in 1997. The resort itself contains 867 rooms among six buildings. Enjoy your stay here at the Grand Floridian Resort with complimentary access to the resort Monorail, which is one stop away from the Magic Kingdom!
ROOM
The Grand Floridian Resort is an amazing place for you and your family to reside on your vacation. One of the features of the Grand Floridian that makes it so amazing is simply the location. You can experience a vacation like no other, overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon, amazing views of the Magic Kingdom and some of the easiest transit options of all the hotels at Disney World only when you stay at the Grand Floridian. This breathtaking resort has multiple room options in which you can stay. You can either choose between normal rooms and suites or you can get a room or suite with Club-Level Service. We were staying in the Conch Key building in the Wekiwa Suite. Our suite was a one bedroom, with 3 balconies and an amazing Cinderella Castle view. Inside the whole room itself it was accommodated with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, but the room was gorgeous with its subtle Victorian elegance. We were provided with everything we needed for our staycation, such as soap, pots and pans, and everything that will tether towards your everyday needs. Around the room itself, you will find beautiful paintings and decorations that really embrace the Victorian era elegance they are trying to go for.
ACCOMODATIONS
The Grand Floridian Resort’s grandness extends elsewhere compared to the other resorts. With the landscaping all over the hotel grounds making it all so ever immaculate, they really stand out. Being one of just a few hotels on the Magic Kingdom Monorail loop, it’s the perfect resort to reside at. While it overlooks the Seven Seas Lagoon, it has breathtaking views of the Magic Kingdom and some of the easiest transit choices of all the resorts. The Resort itself offers a wide variety of accommodations and experiences that you and your family can enjoy. You can enjoy yourself poolside or even poolside in your own Cabana, they’re all so ever refreshing pools overflow with fun and they’re private Cabanas are whimsical. They also offer Motorized Boat Rentals, Fishing opportunities, Specialty Cruises, Movies Under the Stars, Arcadia Games, Basketball Courts and you can even enjoy Grand Floridian Campfire activities. The possibilities at the Grand Floridian Resort are endless.
