Review: The Best Part of This Disneyland Cupcake Isn’t the Cake at All!

Disneyland is celebrating its 66th anniversary this year!

Disneyland 66th Anniversary Cavalcade

We’ve seen special treats like a very well-dressed caramel appleand there was an anniversary parade on the actual day of Disneyland’s 66th anniversary, July 17th! On that day, we also spotted a themed cupcake in the park for the occasion, but we didn’t get a chance to actually taste it! It sold out quickly! But this morning, we finally got our hands on the anniversary cupcake and we have a full review for ya!

Hello again, Disneyland 66th Birthday Cupcake!

Look at all that razzle dazzle!

The celebratory treat is a double chocolate chip cupcake filled with cookies and cream mousse topped with cream cheese frosting. There’s also a piece of chocolate on top that’s printed with Sleeping Beauty Castle, and just look how pretty the two are together!

So color coordinated!

You can find this over at Jolly Holiday in Disneyland Park for $6.99.

The cupcake was REALLY rich — it was almost a little too much chocolate for us (we know, we never thought we’d say that either🤯).

Keeping it in the shade so it doesn’t melt!

The cream cheese frosting was super thick, but it was delicious! Those sprinkles are so fun, too. Can you see the little stars in them?

Cream cheese frosting for days

Our favorite part was definitely the cookies and cream mousse on the inside — it’s nice to have a filling in the middle of all that rich, chocolatey cake!

Always great to have some filling inside a cupcake!

For just a cupcake, this treat was quite filling! It’s a substantial snack or could for sure be shared since it’s pretty heavy. Overall, this treat is an adorable way to celebrate Disneyland’s birthday! 66 years old? You don’t look a day over 50, Disneyland😉. We’ll keep an eye out for more celebrations, so stay tuned to DFB for what we find!
