Where Do YOU Side on These IMPOSSIBLE Disney Debates?

Disney World may be the Most Magical Place on Earth, but it’s also a place that’s FILLED with difficult decisions and impossible debates!

EPCOT Entrance

Should you snack on waffles or pretzels? Which Disney hotel should you book? Is Rise of the Resistance REALLY worth the wake-up call?! Debates abound, and we asked YOU to tell us where you stand!

From iconic Disney World treats and resorts to preferred modes of transportation, must-do rides, and the all-important decision of whether to visit the parks early or late, there are LOTS of ideas to debate over at Disney World!

Dole Whip from Aloha Isle

Since we obvi can’t answer these debates ourselves, we took it to Instagram to ask our readers, and BOY did you deliver! We received more than 34,000 votes on these IMPOSSIBLE debates, so let’s see where you stand!

Rope Drop or Park Close?

One of the most important (and difficult) decisions to make when visiting Disney is whether to go to the parks first thing in the morning, or stay late for nighttime spectaculars (or, for the ride or dies, BOTH!).

Fireworks are BACK!

Looks like most of y’all are night owls because 61% of our readers prefer park close to rope drop! We gotta assume the return of fireworks, and EPCOT Forever, may have swayed the vote a tad! Plus, you know…sleeping in can feel kinda awesome.

Mickey Bar or Dole Whip?

It may seem trivial, but snacks are a pivotal part of your day in Disney World. But which ones are worthwhile? Which one is a can’t-miss? If you only had time for one, which should you get?!

Dole Whip > Mickey Bar

In a veritable clash of the snack titans, the iconic Mickey Bar squared off against Dole Whip…and did not emerge victoriously. 60% of you prefer that creamy pineapple goodness over Mickey-shaped ice cream!

Flight of Passage or Rise of the Resistance?

Sure, Disney World is LOADED with classic and nostalgic rides, like Splash Mountain, Spaceship Earth, and Pirates of the Caribbean, but when it comes to the new hotness, which one reigns supreme?

Rise of the Resistance

We’re obviously talking about Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom versus Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These two attractions regularly command the longest lines and most impossible-to-snag boarding groups. By a VERY narrow margin, though, Rise of the Resistance came out on top, with 53% of you preferring the immersive Star Wars ride over the Avatar experience.

Team Monorail or Team Ferry?

You know what WASN’T a narrow margin? The blowout between two of Disney World’s most beloved modes of transport!

Monorail FTW!

Clearly, though, you have a LOT more love for the Monorail, because that futuristic sky train clobbered the Ferry in the polls, with 81% of the vote!

Num Num Cookie or Gideon’s Cookie?

Disney World and cookies go together like Cinderella and glass slippers — they just fit perfectly! And especially in recent years, Disney’s cookie scene has EXPLODED with delicious new bakeries and sweet treats!

Just look at those chips!

So when it comes time to make that crucial cookie decision, are you going classic or new-school? Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs lives up to its rampant popularity, as the new-ish cookie shop beat out Hollywood Studios’ Num Num Cookie with 62% of the vote! This is further proof that a half-pound cookie HEAPED with chocolate chips simply can’t be beat, and we have to respect that.

Contemporary or Polynesian Village?

Now comes the difficult choice of where to stay? Or even just which Disney hotel to visit for a restaurant, a bar, or a breathtaking view of scrims and Monorail construction. Decisions decisions!

Readers were un-phased by Polynesian construction

Two legendary opening day resorts that fulfill ALL of these needs are Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Both hotels are revered for their restaurants…and tolerated for their endless construction! Turns out you prefer a tropical motif (and a Moana makeover) since Polynesian easily took this one with 81% of the vote!

Space Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain?

As flat as Florida is, the state is definitely home to some iconic mountains! We’re talking of course about the hallowed “hills” that define Magic Kingdom!

Space Mountain reigns supreme

Easily the most difficult decision of the bunch, the debate between Space Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain was SUPER tight! With 51% of the vote, though, it’s apparent that a slight majority of you prefer to zoom through pitch blackness, as Space managed to edge out Big Thunder.

Mickey Waffle or Mickey Pretzel?

Ice cream bars certainly aren’t the only Mickey-shaped snack worth eating in Disney World! Two of the most popular options, in fact, come drizzled in syrup or dunked in cheese!

It’s a winning combo!

Mickey Waffles and Mickey Pretzels are two of the most famous snacks in Disney World, ideal for breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon cheese dunk. At the end of the day, though, team sweet tooth took the trophy, as Mickey Waffles earned 59% of the vote, over 41% for Mickey Pretzels! Now if only Disney could invent a Mickey Pretzel Waffle…or a Mickey Waffle Pretzel?

Here’s How to Make Mickey Waffles at Home!

Team EPCOT or Team Magic Kingdom?

Listen, we know it’s not fair to pit Disney parks against one another. That’d be like picking a favorite child. Or a favorite spring roll flavor. But for the sake of research, we had to do it.

Sorry, EPCOT

We took two of Disney World’s oldest parks, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, and asked which one you prefer. In terms of vibe, layout, rides, flavors, and booze (or lack thereof), both parks are VERY different, so we were super curious to see the results! Not surprisingly, though, Magic Kingdom took the crown with 70% of the vote, just in time for its 50th Anniversary Celebration!

The Haunted Mansion or Tower of Terror?

Last but not least, we took it to some of Disney World’s most classic attractions — both of which have a spooky feel! That’s right, it’s time to debate between The Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror.

The Haunted Mansion is the winner!

While both rides are scary in a fun way, each one is VERY different. The only real terrifying part was having to decide! But decide you did, and 57% of you prefer the Magic Kingdom mainstay over the Hollywood Studios tower!

You’ve now entered…The Twilight Zone

Well, it wasn’t easy, but we made it through these seemingly impossible Disney debates! Along the way, we learned that you have ZERO patience for ferries and a preference for interstellar mountains. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ve gotta go eat a Mickey Waffle at the Polynesian before riding the Monorail over to Magic Kingdom for The Haunted Mansion.
