3 OF OUR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO AT DISNEY SPRINGS

Orlando is home to some of the best entertainment, dining options and experiences. From the Disney Parks, Universal Studios, to all of the delicious food. While all of these offer their own variety of experiences, foods, drinks, and shows to enjoy, there are certain spots people don’t think to go. Whether you’re a local, or just visiting from out of town with your family, Disney Springs offers a variety of activities to do. That’s why today we decided to head out to Disney Springs to show you some of our favorite things to do. Disney Springs has amazing dining options and a plethora of activities to do. Now, here are our 3 favorite things to do at Disney Springs!

1. EAT AT WINE BAR GEORGE

When it comes to Disney Springs, they provide a plethora of dining options for their beloved guests. One of our favorite spots to grab a bite at is having a delicious brunch at our favorite Disney Springs eatery, Wine Bar George. This extraordinary dining option features more than 140 wines all available by the glass, bottle, and even by the ounce. You can enjoy your meal alongside their spacious, rustic venue which features a full menu of small plates, cheese and charcuterie. Wine Bar George provides globally inspired small plates and sweets. Our favorite time to eat at Wine Bar George is during their brunch session. Their brunch time is 10:30am to 2pm, every Saturday and Sunday. They also provide lunch specials every Monday through Friday from 12pm to 3pm. If you’re feeling a little peckish, you can enjoy their Bites & Boards menu every Saturday and Sunday from 2-3pm. From our brunch session at Wine Bar George, we decided to get our favorites, which are: Mac and Cheese Bites, Smoked Salmon, Biscuits and Gravy, and of course a glass of Champagne. While we enjoyed our delicious brunch, we were able to have amazing views of the springs and watch Characters of Flight go up!

2. SHOPPING AROUND THE SPRINGS

One of our favorite things to do at Disney Springs is shop! Who doesn’t like shopping? Disney Springs offers a variety of places to shop at from Zara, Uniqlo to the Coca-Cola Store and World of Disney. The possibilities of shopping here at Disney Springs are endless! On our trip to Disney Springs we decided to stop into Zara and pick up some stylish clothing. After our delicious brunch at Wine Bar George, we separated and Jenn went to Sephora (her favorite) and I went to Disney Style to try and find some Jackson sized masks. Jackson will be 2 soon so he will have to start wearing them, so we wanted to try to get him used to them early. We couldn’t find any at Disney Style but then we realized that we had lost each other. We ended up looking for each other only to realize that we were basically circling one another, only at Disney Springs! In conclusion, if you’re looking for the perfect place to shop but also enjoy tasty foods and amazing views, Disney Springs is perfect!

3. STOP AT GIDEON’S BAKEHOUSE

Last but not least, for our top 3 favorite things to do at Disney Springs, we find ourselves at Gideon’s Bakehouse. If you don’t know what Gideon’s Bakehouse is, don’t worry, we will put you in the loop! ‘Gideon’s Bakehouse began in a home kitchen with one goal: to create an extraordinary Chocolate Chip Cookie. Fifteen years and thousands of tests later, the work was complete. Our Cookie isn’t a product. It is a history, the sweet and the salty, the thrill of a first kiss, and the solitude of a heartbreak. Our desserts are emotional, personal, and we want to share our journey with you. We stay true to the original process, cutting no corners, putting every handmade detail into the 20 hours required to prepare a single half pound Cookie or a tall slice of Cake. We offer up our best expressions to you with a full-hearted invitation to learn more than one another. It is an opportunity to create an experience to remember. That is our brand.’ – Gideon’s Bakehouse (Mission Statement) Gideon’s Bakehouse is a very popular business here in Orlando, with their newly opened location at Disney Springs they operate more like a theme park ride than a bakery. With this being said, they open up at 10am but their line typically begins to form at 9am. With this happening, they switch to a virtual queue so you can enjoy your time around the Springs but still receive your sweet treats. On our trip to Gideon’s at Disney Springs, we were put into about a 2.5 hour virtual wait but while we waited we ate at our favorite brunch spot, Wine Bar George. If you happen to find yourself at Disney Springs, take a second and stop at Gideon’s Bakehouse, you won’t regret it!
