It’s officially pumpkin spice season, aka one of the best times of the year.

So as we’re getting into our autumn feels with a Pumpkin Spice Latte, Starbucks decided to release a new fall drink in honor of another fall staple – apples! We got to try it today in Disney World so read on to find out if this new drink could be crowned the winner of fall drinks (if that’s a thing).

Today in Magic Kingdom we popped into Starbucks for some coffee and learned that they just added the Apple Crisp Macchiato to their fall drink menu. The new drink costs $5.49 for a grande size drink.

This new drink tasted like an iced coffee with a hint of apple crisp. The apple crisp flavor was a nice balance of sweetness, as it was sweet but not too sweet. We liked it with just the subtle taste of apple crisp, but we kind of wish the apple flavor was a little stronger!

A Cast Member told us that the hot version is much more dominantly apple flavored and that it tastes more like fall.

We just wish that the apple crisp flavor was a little stronger in the iced coffee. We think it would give off more fall vibes if the apple flavor wasn’t so subtle.

You can always try the hot version to get more apple flavor, or maybe you would prefer the subtle hint of apple in the iced drink! If you don’t like apple flavors, this might not be the drink for you in either drink form.

So if you like fall coffee drinks, give it a try and let us know what you think of the new Starbucks Apple Crisp Macchiato! It is kind of nice that you can choose between the hot drink with more apple flavor or the iced drink with less apple flavor. We still prefer our pumpkin spice though, NGL!!!
