HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS TRIBUTE STORE OPENS

HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS TRIBUTE STORE OPENS

Fall is just around the corner, which means Halloween Horror Nights festivitites are returning to Universal Orlando Resort! This past week, we visited Universal Studios Florida to check out the newly opened HHN Tribute Store, a highly-themed merchandise venue that takes on a new form each year. Here, guests can find a huge variety of HHN merch, attire, treats, and more. Join us as we step into the shadows and explore everything that this spooky store has to offer!

THE HHN TRIBUTE STORE

This year’s HHN Tribute Store has an impressive facade that appears as an old, creepy mansion. As you walk inside the first room, you’ll immediately notice an old-timey, Victorian theme, and references to past HHN lore such as Legendary Truth and the fan-favorite “HHN Bear.” Creaking noises and haunting organ music plays throughout the first room of the store, which looks almost like a den of antiquities. If you look closely, you’ll find a trail of handwritten diary entries placed throughout the entire store, which tell the deranged story of the owner of the mansion. The second room highlights the HHN Icons with glowing, animated portraits dedicated to each one. You’ll also see many props used in past HHN houses, as well as homages to characters featured in previous years. As you head into the next hallway, keep an eye out for the portraits of the Tracker family hung upon the walls!

The third room – called the Conservatory – appears to be overrun by tangled vines and other plants, and mainly displays Beetlejuice merchandise. You can even spot The Caretaker if you look closely! Heading into the final room, you’ll notice an abandoned Shadybrook wagon and the entrance to a wooden stable. Inside the Carriage House is where you’ll find all of the delicious treats that the Tribute Store has to offer. Confections such as cakes, gummies, fudge, candy apples, and brownies are available.

THE MERCHANDISE

Any and all HHN merchandise can be found right here in the Tribute Store, including:

  • Attire (shirts, jackets, tank tops, etc.)
  • Costume masks
  • Drinkware (mugs, drinking glasses, shot glasses, etc.)
  • Artwork
  • Magnets
  • Pins
  • Collectable figurines
  • Socks
  • Bags
  • Lanyards

And beyond! The first room offers general HHN items, while the second room focuses on merchandise based on the Icons – such as Jack, Chance, The Storyteller, The Usher, and The Caretaker. The Conservatory hosts a Beetlejuice theme, and the Carriage Room is home to all of the tasty snacks, as well as Annual Passholder merch.

THE Treats

We couldn’t help but to indulge in a few of the irresistible treats from the Tribute Store! The first item we tried was the Candy Corn Brownie, which was a simple chocolate brownie with white, yellow, and orange icing. We thought it was yummy and fudgey, but not quite our favorite. Next, we sampled the Cookie Dough Balls, which were themed to look like cauldrons and eyeballs. These were phenomenal and left us craving more! Once we finished those, we moved on to the Jack Jar Cake, which is layered with chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, and red icing. We found it to be very rich and chocolatey, and we liked that it came with a replaceable lid. Finally, we decided to take on the Smash Patch Pumpkin, a blue and purple chocolate pumpkin filled with candy. The chocolate itself is good, but we weren’t a fan of the decorative shell. At the end of the day, we ranked the Cookie Dough Balls as our top favorite, and we can’t wait to try all of the other delectable dishes HHN 30 has to offer!
