We visited France in EPCOT’s World Showcase to check out the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure ride and see the new additions to the pavilion!
We found a hidden Mickey on the ride and checked out all the new merchandise for the ride, and now we’re exploring this new space to show you some of the best and most hidden details around the pavilion!
Throughout the pavilion, we saw gorgeous French-inspired architecture and design, including inside the buildings, on their exterior, and in the square. But if you look carefully, there are a lot of nods to Ratatouille in this space as well!
As you’re walking up to the new area, there’s a black fence along the walkway with iron-work designs.
Look carefully at these designs, and you can see the outline of a rat inside them! His pointy nose and ear are on the left, and his long, curly tail extends to the edge of the gate section.
Once you’ve entered the new square, you can’t miss the large fountain right in the middle.
This fountain is special in a lot of ways, like the new design that makes it look like the bottles are really pouring out champagne!
You can see the rats around the fountain, holding up the bottles or spitting out water along the sides.
But what’s that at the top? It’s Remy, riding the top of the fountain in his little chef’s hat, holding a little wooden spoon!
We explored more of the France Pavilion expansion, and we found a cute detail in the extended queue area of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. There are little rat footprints on the ground! Remy must have been running around here!

Back at the fountain, there are several sewer drain covers around the square.
Check out the design on them and you’ll see Remy in a boat with his spatula paddle! This is a nod to the movie when Remy escapes through the sewers.
Near the entrance to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, we found a display of wines with the name Chateau Ego.
Does that name sound familiar? Ego is the name of the food critic from Ratatouille!
Only the biggest Ratatouille fans will know that the years on the bottles are significant — 2007 is the year the movie was released, 2014 is when Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opened in Disneyland Paris, and 2021 is the year the ride will open in Disney World!
