Ever dreamed of having a Disney wedding or at least a wedding with some Disney elements in it?

We’ve shared a look at just how much a Disney wedding costs, a peek at Disney wedding rings, and details about the NEW Disney princess-inspired wedding dresses. But just how many popular is it to have a Disney-themed wedding, or even a wedding-themed to some of the other things that now make up the Disney Company (like Star Wars)? Well, it seems these are MORE popular than you might expect!

According to a study done by engagement ring company Taylor & Hart, themed weddings are becoming a more popular thing! Taylor & Hart shares that “Google searches for ‘themed weddings’ are currently up 48% year on year.”

But just what are the most popular wedding themes? Well, that depends on where you look. Let’s start with Pinterest.

The 10 most pinned wedding themes include some of the classics — country, rustic, beach, vintage. But they also include some names you’ll recognize right away — Star Wars and Disney!

Star Wars-themed wedding ideas were pinned over 34,000(!!!) times on Pinterest. Following that were Disney-themed wedding ideas with over 29,000 pins!

What about #TheHashtags though? For this, Taylor & Hart turned to Instagram to see what most hashtagged wedding themes were. The top were ones you might expect — beach, rustic, vintage, etc. But again, Star Wars and Disney made the list!

Overall, Star Wars-themed weddings had over 309,000 hashtags, while Disney-themed weddings had about 220,000 hashtags!

Finally, Taylor & Hart looked at the 10 most in-demand wedding themes for 2021, and this is where 2 parts of the Disney Company TRULY shined. For this part, Taylor & Hart looked into the increase in Google searches over the last year for hundreds of wedding themes. In the number 1 spot? STAR WARS! Followed closely by…MARVEL!

That’s right, whether you’re a Jedi or a Sith, it seems a Star Wars-themed wedding (of your own or perhaps one you’ll attend) may be in your future. According to Taylor & Hart’s study, Star Wars-themed weddings are the most in-demand weddings in terms of theme for 2021. They found that there has been a 90% increase in the demand for Star Wars weddings.

Could this be a product of those who watched Disney’s Star Wars-themed show, The Mandalorian, and got inspired by the things they saw? HELLO — Baby Yoda as a ring bearer?! Or arranging it so that you walk under a series of Lightsabers to exit the reception?! YES, YES, and more YES!

According to Taylor & Hart, Marvel-themed weddings have seen an 84% increase in demand in 2021. With quotes like “What is grief, if not love persevering?” we can see why. Ugh, Wanda and Vision.

And you can even grab a Marvel-themed engagement ring that has the Infinity Stones on the inside as a special little Marvel secret just you (and your partner) will know about!
