Disney has a lot of projects going on right now!
One that we’ve been watching closely is construction on the new TRON Lightcycle Run roller coaster in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The ride was originally going to open in time for the 50th Anniversary Celebrations, but it’s since been delayed. Today, with views from the PeopleMover, we saw some progress with the construction!
We were riding by the construction on the PeopleMover and looking for any sign of progress on the upcoming roller coaster.

The project was looking just like it has recently when we spotted a new addition close to the coaster’s entrance to the building.
Do you see it too? It looks like there’s a ride test vehicle of some sort on the tracks!
This could be a sign that the ride is getting closer to completion! When it’s finished, this ride will be a roller coaster that uses motorcycle-type vehicles as the ride cars. These bikes are speedy, getting up to 59 miles an hour!
Light plays a big role in the ride, with colored, light-up panels around the track on the outside part.
We can’t wait for the ride to be opened in the Magic Kingdom! Until then, keep following DFB for more updates on its construction.
